🚨 ATTENTION ALL CNMI EMPLOYERS 🚨
Due to the ongoing recovery efforts following Super Typhoon Sinlaku, the CNMI Department of Labor (DOL) has extended and aligned the Census of Employment (COE) deadlines.
📅 NEW COMBINED DEADLINE: July 31, 2026
Employers must submit BOTH their First Quarter (Q1) and Second Quarter (Q2) 2026 Census of Employment reports by this date.
⚠️ Crucial Compliance Reminders:
Submit Separately: Each quarter must be completed and submitted as its own separate report. Do not combine your data into one form, as it must remain representative of actual workforce conditions for each specific period.
Avoid Penalties: Failure to submit by the July 31 deadline may subject your business to enforcement actions and the denial of your Certificate of Good Standing from CNMI DOL.
Thank you for your continued cooperation as we work together toward the CNMI’s economic recovery and future planning efforts! 🇲🇵✨
💻 How to Submit:
1️⃣ Go to labor.cnmi.gov

Hiring unauthorized workers is a labor violation. Failing to pay every hour worked is a labor violation. The Division of Enforcement and Compliance is reminding all employers in the CNMI: know who you hire, and pay what you owe. Workplace inspections and complaint responses are ongoing throughout the Commonwealth. For compliance assistance, call 670-322-4365 or 670-322-9942.

I introduced H.R. 8931, the Northern Mariana Islands Workforce Improvement Act, to provide greater workforce stability for the CNMI by supporting long-term CW-1 workers and the employers who rely on them.
As our Commonwealth continues to recover and rebuild, a strong and reliable workforce remains essential to our future.

Tsunami Advisory Issued for CNMI
The CNMI Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM), in coordination with the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, has issued a tsunami advisory for the Northern Mariana Islands following a magnitude 7.9 earthquake near Mindanao, Philippines.
Residents are advised to stay out of the water and away from beaches, harbors, and coastal waterways due to potentially hazardous ocean conditions and strong currents. Do not go to the shoreline to observe wave activity.
A full-scale evacuation is not in effect at this time. Continue monitoring official updates from CNMI HSEM and follow all instructions as conditions may change.
