🙋‍♂️HPV Vaccination in Males . . . Keeps Everyone Protected

✔️When males are vaccinated, they protect themselves AND their partner(s) - now and in the future.
✔️So encouraging the males in your life to take the HPV vaccine isn’t just about them . . .
👉 It’s an act of care for the relationship they’re in and the future partners they may have.
And in Malta, the HPV vaccine is FREE for anyone born in or after the year 2000

Today marked the official launch of the National Sexual Health Strategy 2026–2030, an important milestone in strengthening sexual health and wellbeing in Malta for the years ahead.

The event brought together professionals, stakeholders, and partners committed to advancing inclusive, accessible, and evidence-based sexual health services and initiatives across the country.

During the launch, Dr. Alexia Bezzina, Consultant in Public Health Medicine, addressed the strategic vision and priorities that will guide national efforts over the next five years, alongside the Minister for Health and Active Ageing, Hon. Jo Etienne Abela.

The strategy is centred around five key priorities:
• Health promotion, prevention and education
• Medical services – screening, management and treatment
• Reproductive health needs – family planning and contraception
• People with specific needs and vulnerabilities
• Governance, innovation and research

Proudly organised by the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Directorate under the Superintendent of Public Health / Sexual Health Malta, this strategy reflects a continued commitment towards empowering individuals and communities through education, prevention, collaboration, and equitable access to care.
