The Commonwealth Youth Photography Competition 2026 is open now.

Free to enter, open to all Commonwealth nationals and residents aged 18 to 30, it asks young people to document the ocean (or any river, lake, or waterway) in one photograph and 300 words.

The overall winner receives ยฃ1,000, with ยฃ250 for each category winner.

If you know someone aged 18 to 30, please share this with them. And if that person is you, do not wait!

Entries close on 8 June 2026.

The Royal Commonwealth Society, in partnership with the City of London Corporationโ€™s Youth Natural Environment Board and the Commonwealth Secretariat, has launched the Commonwealth Youth Photography Competition 2026: Waves of Change.

This exciting Commonwealth-wide competition invites young people aged 18โ€“30 to capture powerful stories about our oceans and waterways โ€” from environmental challenges and changing coastlines to resilience, hope, and innovative solutions.
