Supporting Farmers and Bringing More Agricultural Land into Productive Use 🌱

Riżorsi Agrikoli Malta (RAM) has launched an initiative aimed at supporting the productive use of agricultural land and creating further opportunities for farmers.

Under the scheme, farmers falling under Categories 3, 4 and 5, as well as young farmers who are already active in agriculture, are being invited to apply to acquire agricultural land on a temporary three-year basis for cultivation.

The initiative seeks to facilitate the productive use of agricultural land by creating a link between landowners who may not currently be cultivating their land and genuine farmers who are willing to bring that land back into agricultural production.

By encouraging more land to be actively cultivated, the scheme contributes to strengthening local food production while supporting a more sustainable and productive agricultural sector.
