Conference & Incentive Travel

Not many destinations have thousands of years' experience as a meeting place. But the Maltese Islands have played host to everyone from St. Paul to latter-day presidents and from EU conferences to small groups.

Whatever the size, formality or informality of your event, Malta has the expertise and venues to suit.

The Maltese Islands offer a variety of magnificent castles, palazzos and forts as function venues. Other special settings include theme parks, village squares, luxury yachts and exclusive sea-front facilities.

State-of-the-art conference hotels or venues are available for any size of event, and include the 16th century Mediterranean Conference Centre, once considered the most advanced hospital in Europe. We can easily host gatherings of well over a thousand.

The Maltese Islands are not only a place to meet, but also an ideal location in which to do business.

Conference Hotels & Venues

Malta has numerous luxurious 5 and 4 star hotels in which to accommodate delegates. These range from large-scale modern buildings (including a number of international chains) to boutique establishments. We have a total of 14 Five-star hotels, which can together accommodate more than 5,500 delegates and all of which are well aware of the discerning needs of conference and incentive travellers. These establishments all have in-house meeting facilities and many of them are clustered within walking distance of each other, enabling event organisers to split up large groups into different properties. Moreover, the 40-plus 4 star hotels on the Islands provide for an additional 14,000 beds.

Other venues available to conference and incentive organisers include charming palazzos and converted traditional farmhouses, in which a variety of events ranging from wine parties, themed events and Maltese evenings can be held. Many of our unique venues are prestigious historical buildings have been refurbished to suit modern standards. Give your guests a taste of our history, together with a sumptuous dinner, as they witness the past unfold before their very eyes, while attending a medieval banquet in a genuine historic castle, complete with actors, entertainers and musicians in period costume.
