On 23 March 2026, our beloved Leli was laid to rest in a beautiful celebration, attended by so many of his loved ones including long-time friends and colleagues, who he appreciated so dearly. ❤️

Over the past few days we have been overwhelmed from all the articles, posts, and messages, declaring their condolences and love, of which we cannot describe how much these words meant to us and brought us solace during this difficult time.

Leli, your soul will forever remain part of Xwejni, and we will continue to welcome anyone with open arms just like you always did. Your new role looking after God’s salt pans in heaven awaits you. 🕊️

With great sadness the Cini family announces that Emanuel Cini known as “Leli tal-Melħ” passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on the 18th March 2026. A celebration of life will be held on Monday 23rd March. The funeral cortège leaves Gozo General Hospital at 15:30 for Żebbug – Gozo Parish Church where a Mass will be celebrated at 16:00.

Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Harvest time moments on an early summer morning.

Another educational visit and hands-on activity was held today for the young students from St.Theresa School Kercem.
The students learned about the process of sea salt harvesting and enjoyed hobz biz-zejt. They left happily with a bag of our genuine sea salt.
