A wonderful evening at Sip, Soak & Savour yesterday at Salina, celebrating Aron Tanti’s 'A hundred experiences of a bird photographer in Malta'.

Those who pre-ordered the book had the opportunity to meet Aron, hear about the experiences behind his photography, and get their copies signed - a great way to bring this publication to life.

Last Saturday we organised an event called Blooming Birds 🌸🐦.

We started with a guided tour of Għadira Nature Reserve, and then searched for different types of orchids with Wild for Orchids Community Malta

Nature reserve reopens

As from today, BirdLife Malta’s Għadira Nature Reserve is open as usual and ready to welcome visitors.

We look forward to seeing you! Enjoy your visit and thank you for supporting nature conservation. 🐦

Weather Notice - Nature Reserves Closed Today

Due to strong winds and unsettled weather forecast across Malta today, Għadira Nature Reserve, will be closed for public safety.

Conditions are expected to be very windy with gusts throughout the day, which could make trails and open areas hazardous.

We’ll update you as conditions improve. Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe.

🎄 Festive Season Update from BirdLife Malta Nature Reserves 🐦

As we approach this wonderful time of year, we’d like to wish all our visitors, supporters and nature lovers a very peaceful Christmas and a happy New Year! ✨

Please note that Għadira Nature Reserve will be closed on the following days during the festive period:

📅 24th, 25th & 26th December 2025
📅 31st December 2025, and 1st & 2nd January 2026

We’ll be open as usual on all other days, following our regular schedule. 🌿

We look forward to welcoming you back for more peaceful walks, birdwatching, and nature moments very soon.

Starting this Monday, we’re updating the midweek opening hours for Għadira Nature Reserve.

🕒 Check the updated schedule below or visit www.birdlifemalta.org/nature-reserves for more details:

September – October: 1:30pm – 6:30pm

November – January: 1:30pm – 5:00pm

February: 1:30pm – 5:30pm

March: 1:30pm – 6:00pm

April – May: 1:30pm – 7:30pm

These hours apply to midweek opening days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).
Weekend opening hours remain unchanged.

🌳 Entrance is free. Just bring your curiosity and love for nature!

📅 Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
📅 Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
