ID CARD RENEWALS

Following collaboration by the Ta' Xbiex Local Council with IDENTITÀ Malta, officers from the authority will be at our offices on the below dates and times to renew your identity cards in a professional setting close to your homes.

Wednesday, 22nd April till Friday, 24th April 2026
Between 8.00am – 5.00pm

Saturday, 25th April 2026
Between 8.00am – 12.00pm

🚨 Expression of Interest 🚨

The Eastern Regional Council is hereby inviting ‘’Expressions of Interest’’ (EOI) from photographers 📷 for the submission of high-quality photographic images to be featured in the Eastern Regional Council’s 2027 Calendar 🗓️

Specific Conditions:

Submitted pictures must be in full-colour and high quality (with a minimum resolution of 1080p)

Pictures must depict various weather/natural phenomena captured within any of the following localities: Ħal Għargħur, Is-Swieqi, Pembroke, San Ġiljan, Tas-Sliema, Il-Gżira, Ta’ Xbiex, L-Imsida, Tal-Pieta’, Birkirkara, L-Iklin and Ħal Lija

Priority will be given to pictures that clearly identify the locality, preferably through a recognisable or distinctive feature specific to that area

Where possible, the date and exact location where the picture was taken should be indicated 📍

Pictures must include one or more of the following phenomena: hail, big waves, rainbow, fog, fields with wildflowers, sunrise and/or sunset, sandy or rocky bays, cloud formations, waterspouts or tornadoes, Mount Etna as seen from Malta, lightning, or valleys flooded with water ⛈️🌥️❄️🌪️

Pictures may be submitted in portrait and/or landscape format; submissions including both formats are preferred

The price per submitted picture must be clearly indicated 💰

Pictures should preferably be submitted with watermarks. If an image is selected, it will be purchased and the photographer will be requested to provide the image without watermarks

Selected pictures will be featured in the Eastern Regional Council’s 2027 calendar, and the photographer’s credits will be displayed next to each image ✅

Submission Deadline:

Closing date for submissions: Thursday, 30th April 2026

All participants will be contacted, to inform them whether their pictures were selected or not 😊

The Eastern Regional Council reserves the right to accept or reject any submission, in whole or in part, without assigning any reason
