🇪🇺 The Spring 2026 Economic Forecast published by the European Commission projects EU GDP growth to slow to 1.1% in 2026, due to renewed energy pressures and global uncertainty.

🇲🇹 Malta’s outlook remains positive, with the economy expected to continue recording solid growth of 3.7% in 2026, supported by domestic demand, tourism and a strong services sector.

European Commission Representation in Malta | The Permanent Representation of Malta to the European Union

Over 1.1 million citizens across the EU supported the “Ban Conversion Practices in the EU” initiative, now the 13th successful European Citizens' Initiative to receive the Commission’s reply.

In 2027, the Commission will adopt a Recommendation, calling on EU countries to ban these practices.
