Think Mauritius is a think tank and advocacy group that has been set up by a number of free thinking Mauritians who have in common the love of the country and the belief that it is possible to build a better Mauritius with more Democracy, Liberty and Justice and a more enriching and fulfilling life for all Mauritians. Our country is facing a number of threats and challenges as a result of the prof
ound systemic changes and crises that have taken place and are taking place at both national and international levels and are having drastic consequences on oru economic survival and on our social fabric. We believe that the task of finding solutions to these crises and threats cannot be left in the hands of a few politicians; it should be the concern of all Mauritians. We have therefore decided to put our knowledge and experience together to carry out a systematic and insightful analysis of these threats and challenges, to reflect on them and to come up with comprehensive and holistic solutions which we shall then advocate and recommend to the authorities, to relevant organizations and the public in general for them to examine, take ownership and implement. We do not pretend to be able to carry out this immense task alone. We are therefore inviting all Mauritians, including members of the Mauritian diaspora, friends of Mauritius and non-government Organisations who share our love of the country and our faith in its future to join us in this noble and fascinating task of creating a better Mauritius for all. As a group we are independent of all political parties but we propose to meet any political party for discussions and welcome all individuals who are members of political parties but share our ideals and our work methodology.
