Be sure next year CHANGE

As you must be aware by now, the Annual General Meeting ended at 6.00 pm. Everybody had the opportunity to express himself/herself. All the questions asked by the members present have been replied. Special BRAVO to mrs Corinne Pmr of Reduit who was still present at the end of the meeting. It is almost certain that the follwing salary revision and new conditions of service will take effect as from January 2012 instead of July 2012.

The union was convened to a meeting with the management icw Errors & Omissions. Nothing new that we already knew. You will get the info in the Newsletter which you will soon receive.

During the month of May we met the HR manager concerning changes in posting. We were informed that its the prerogative of the management to make these changes. Officers feeling they are "victimised" should write to the HRM with copy to the secretary of the union. Only cases with solid arguments will be considered.

The HRM invited the secretary and myself to have a courtesy visit to the CEO . The secretary Bro. Ridwan Peerun being sick I was acompanied by Bro. J. Rungasamy ( Ass. Secretary ) . The visit was short but cordial . The CEO is much concerned with the dishonesty of some officers , namely the LABEL issue . We were apprised that the Joint Negotiating Panel would soon be called for an official meeting . M.Pillay

The executive commitee held its meeting on Tuesday 12.04.2011 . K. Pillay Vinayagam was elected President , Ridwan as secretary and Seerunden as treasurer.More info will come in due time. Stay connected.
