๐ Gendered Voices | Women leaders advancing the Sustainable Development Goals in Mauritius
Kim Yip Tong is a multidisciplinary artist๐จ and filmmaker whose work bridges science, storytelling, and emotion to inspire greater awareness of our relationship with the natural world. Her awardโwinning animated film ๐ฌ โPie dan Loโ, created in response to the Wakashio oil spill, exemplifies how art can drive behavioural change, foster dialogue, and mobilise action for ocean conservation.
A strong advocate for environmental awareness and collective action, she advances SDGs 13 (Climate Action), 14 (Life Below Water) and 4 (Quality Education) โ demonstrating the vital role artists play in shaping more sustainable and compassionate societies.
She is featured in the latest UNDP-Mauritius Gendered Voices.
