We are pleased to highlight the first component of the Strengthening TVET Practice in the Maldives Short Course, which includes a visit by an Australian delegation to the Maldives under the Australian Professional Opportunity (APO) initiative.
The purpose of this visit was to conduct an environmental scan of the TVET landscape in the Maldives, enabling a deeper understanding of current systems, opportunities, and areas for strengthening TVET teacher capacity building. This will support improved teaching quality, promote inclusive TVET approaches, enhance industry-relevant delivery, and strengthen alignment between training and labour market needs.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Australian High Commission in the Maldives, Australian Awards, and the Governments of Australia and the Maldives for their continued support and partnership in advancing TVET development. Their commitment plays a vital role in strengthening national skills systems and fostering meaningful international cooperation.
