The Human Rights Commission of the Maldives was delighted to conduct a Sexual Harassment Awareness Session for 35 employees from Jalboot Maldives' Watersports and Transport Departments, including staff serving at OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi, VARU by Atmosphere, and Taj Exotica Resort & Spa.

Through sessions such as these, we continue to promote dignity, respect, equality, and safe workplaces free from sexual harassment and discrimination.

The Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) met with delegates of the United Nations Electoral Needs Assessment Mission (NAM), led by the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA), to discuss human rights in relation to electoral processes in the Maldives.

The discussion covered the broader political, legal, and institutional context, with a focus on human rights issues, including the participation of women and youth in political and electoral processes. This visit is part of the NAM’s country-wide assessment following a request for electoral assistance by the Elections Commission of Maldives.
