🚨 Some issues go beyond politics.

During Mohamed Nasheed (Anni)'s presidency, concerns grew among many Maldivians that government policies were moving the country away from its traditional Islamic values.

Proposals and debates surrounding tourism expansion, alcohol in inhabited islands, and closer relations with countries such as Israel sparked intense public discussion and opposition.

What followed was not just political criticism. Thousands took to the streets. Religious organizations spoke out. Public demonstrations spread across the country.

For many Maldivians, this wasn't about political parties. It was about protecting the identity, beliefs, and values they felt defined the nation.

When faith becomes part of the national debate, the entire country pays attention.

🚨 It didn’t happen overnight.

The MMPRC scandal exposed how millions of dollars from resort leases were taken through a state company meant to benefit the nation. Money that should have gone to the people, vanished.

Abdulla Yameen was later convicted of corruption and money laundering, with reports linking him directly to payments tied to those deals.

This wasn’t just a mistake.

Resources meant to build the country were misused and the people felt the impact.

That’s not leadership.
That’s corruption

🚨 Ibrahim Mohamed Solih promised transparency, accountability, and a better future.

Instead, Maldivians watched government debt climb to record levels while the cost of living continued to rise. His administration borrowed billions, leaving future generations to carry the burden.

A government can make promises all day long. What matters is the bill it leaves behind.

Ibu Solih's legacy isn't transparency or reform! It's debt!!

🚨 In 2012, Mohamed Nasheed (Anni) ordered the arrest of a sitting judge.

In any democracy, judges are supposed to be independent from political leaders. When a president becomes involved in the arrest of a judge, it raises serious questions about the separation of powers and the rule of law.

The decision sparked a political crisis, nationwide protests, and intense debate about the future of democracy in the Maldives.

No leader should be above the institutions that are meant to keep power in check.

While others were busy borrowing, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is busy paying the bills.

Since taking office, his administration has paid back nearly USD 1 billion in debt that was already due.

Think about that for a second.

Almost a billion dollars that could have pushed the country into serious financial trouble has been paid without stopping development or government services.

Anyone can take loans. It takes real leadership to pay them back.

Dr. Muizzu inherited the problem, but instead of making excuses, he got to work.

That's not talk.
That's leadership.
