MAGLA JOINS THE CONVERSATION ON AI AND TOURISM IN MALAWI
The Malawi Gaming and Lotteries Authority (MAGLA) is supporting the National Conversation on the Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence in Tourism, happening during Team Adventure Malawi’s 9th Annual General Meeting on 17 January 2026 in Monkey Bay, Mangochi. The discussion follows the UN Tourism 2026 theme, “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism,” and looks at how technology can actually work for Malawi’s tourism sector.
By supporting this conversation, MAGLA is showing that tourism growth matters. Digital tools and AI can help promote destinations better, tell Malawi’s stories in new ways, and improve how visitors experience the country, from planning their trips to exploring on the ground.
The sessions will focus on real, practical uses of technology in tourism, including online marketing, digital storytelling, better use of data, and smarter ways to engage visitors. These ideas are meant to help Malawi compete and stand out in a fast-changing tourism space.
This is not the first time MAGLA has worked with Team Adventure Malawi. The Authority has supported several Team Adventure activities before, especially those linked to tourism, youth involvement, and innovation, showing continued support beyond a one-off event.
The conversation will be available virtually on Convay Video Conferencing Platform on the following link: https://shorturl.at/9AQB7
MAGLA’s support adds to a shared effort to use partnerships and technology to grow tourism in a way that benefits young people, businesses, and the country as a whole.

NKHOTAKOTA WILDLIFE RESERVE: WHERE ADVENTURE MEETS THE DIGITAL FUTURE OF TOURISM

Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve is proud to support the National Conversation on the Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence in Tourism, hosted by Team Adventure Malawi during its 9th Annual General Meeting on 17 January 2026 in Monkey Bay, Mangochi. This national dialogue aligns with the UN Tourism 2026 global theme: “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism.”

Wild, vast, and untamed, Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve represents the true spirit of adventure tourism in Malawi. By supporting this conversation, the Reserve champions the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence to unlock new ways of discovering, experiencing, and protecting our natural landscapes—while inspiring the next generation of explorers.

The discussions will spotlight how AI and digital platforms can elevate adventure tourism through immersive storytelling, smart destination marketing, real-time conservation monitoring, and enriched visitor experiences. These innovations help bring remote wilderness areas like Nkhotakota closer to the world—without compromising their raw beauty.

Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve invites thrill-seekers, nature lovers, and curious minds to venture off the beaten path. Track wildlife, explore endless miombo woodlands, and reconnect with nature in one of Malawi’s last great wildernesses. Every visit fuels conservation, supports local communities, and keeps the spirit of adventure alive.

Nkhotakota’s support reflects a bold vision: blending technology, conservation, and adventure to shape a smarter, wilder, and more inclusive future for tourism in Malawi.
