We are Citizens from Neno the most neglected part of Malawi.

Today on Thursday 18th March 2021 , people of Neno District presented a Petition to Malawi Parliament asking for a Tarmac Road . Neno is the only District in Malawi without a Tarmac Road since 1964 when the country became Independent from Britain. Hon Joyce Chitsulo MP for Mwanza West and Hon Thoko Tembo MP for Neno North ,in Solidarity to the People of Neno joined those who were Presenting the Request for a Tarmac Road.

Location of Neno District in Malawi.

Neno is a district in the Southern Region of Malawi. The district has a 2016 population of approximately 158,000. District Mwanza in 2003 was split into two districts, Neno and Mwanza, under the decentralisation program.

Government and administrative divisions
There are two National Assembly constituencies in Neno:

Neno - North
Neno - South
Since the 2009 election both constituencies have been held by members of the Democratic Progressive Party.[1]
