Today, 12 October 2026, Umunthu and Anti-Corruption Motivational Talks commenced in Chitipa District, targeting primary and secondary school students. The sessions started at Kawale Primary School and Chitipa Model Primary School, facilitated by Public Education Officer, Agnes Phiri.

The talks aim to encourage young people to embrace Umunthu, practise honesty and integrity, and stand against corruption.

This week, the Blantyre Public Education team is conducting Umunthu and Anti-Corruption motivational talks in Neno District primary schools under the theme "Wachinyamata Wodzitsata wa Integrity, Rise Up!" Facilitators Jonathan Chisale and Loyce Chirwa have already engaged learners at Naminjale and Kadamsana Primary Schools today, with more school visits scheduled.

On 8th and 9th September 2026, ACB officers and representatives from key accountability and law enforcement institutions attended a Media Engagement Workshop supported by German Cooperation and the European Union through GIZ PFEM.

The workshop strengthened participants’ skills in engaging the media, communicating clear stories, and building public trust through practical mock interviews and press briefings. Investigative Journalist Chikezie Omeje of OCCRP also highlighted the role of investigative journalism and collaboration in combating corruption.

The workshop concluded with GIZ Country Director Dr. Inge Baumgarten and GIZ PFEM Team Leader Lukas Fischer emphasising the importance of strategic communication and collaboration in strengthening the fight against corruption, public finance management, and law enforcement.
