Yolanda Martinez, President of The Lake Chapala Society , attended a special Memorial Day commemoration at the Chapala Cemetery alongside 🇺🇸 Amy Scanlon, U.S. Consul General in Guadalajara and 🇲🇽 Alejandro Aguirre Curiel, Mayor of Chapala.

The ceremony honored the brave men and women who gave their lives in service and reflected the strong bonds of friendship and respect shared between our communities..

Michelle es arquitecta, fotógrafa y artista multidisciplinaria con formación internacional en fotografía profesional, fotoperiodismo, arte terapéutico y dibujo. Su experiencia incluye trabajo con niños como maestra de arte, participación en exposiciones artísticas en México y España, publicaciones literarias y proyectos culturales y comunitarios.

Su pasión por el arte, la creatividad y el desarrollo humano aportará una visión fresca e inspiradora a nuestros programas infantiles.

🎨🌟 The Lake Chapala Society is pleased to introduce Michelle Gómez Serur as the new Coordinator of the Children’s Art Program (CAP).

Michelle is an architect, photographer, and multidisciplinary artist with international training in professional photography, photojournalism, therapeutic art, and drawing.

Her experience includes teaching art to children, participating in artistic exhibitions in Mexico and Spain, literary publications, and community cultural projects.

Her passion for art, creativity, and human development will bring a fresh and inspiring vision to our children’s programs. We are excited to welcome her to our community! The CAP takes place every Saturday from 10am to 12pm, rain or shine! This is a program free of charge.
