Please join us as we celebrate the life of Frank Ortiz, a dedicated public servant, a proud El Pasoan and a cherished member of the Paso del Norte Tejano Democrats. Services are scheduled for April 28th, 2026 at San Jose Funeral Home, located at 10950 Pellicano Dr. A prayer service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and services will end at 1:00 p.m. A lunch reception will follow at The Barn venue located at 2828 Lee Trevino.

The Paso Del Norte Tejano Democrats would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Grace Ortiz and her family during this incredibly difficult time. We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Frank Ortiz, a long-time member and leader of the Paso Del Norte Tejano Democrats. Our thoughts and prayers are with Grace and her family as they navigate the days ahead.

Frank will be deeply missed. Frank was a dedicated public servant and a valued member of our organization. We hope that his family can find comfort in the love that surrounded Frank and Grace, as well as in the cherished memories that we will all hold close.

BREAKING: A federal judge has blocked President Trump's move to deploy National Guard troops during ongoing protests in Los Angeles, calling the move "illegal."

The judge ruled that the Trump administration is "to return control of the California National Guard to Governor Newsom."

The Trump administration immediately appealed the ruling.

Federal agents are arresting migrants at immigration courts -- in some cases after their deportation cases have been dismissed — in the Trump administration's latest tactic to fast-track deportations, immigration attorneys have told ABC News.

The attorneys said that immigration enforcement officers have been waiting in immigration court buildings and arresting migrants who have had their cases dismissed, after which the migrants are placed into expedited removal proceedings by the Department of Homeland Security.
