One of the most incredible historic monuments in This house for the disadvantaged, built by Juan Cruz Ruiz de Cabañas y Crespo and initiated construction in early 1800s. It served as an orphanage, a school an elder nursing home and so much more. It was used and abused during wars and famine! If you are in GDL, you cannot miss this landmark as it has master pieces of famous painters from - namely .clemente_orozco

Our pink room has been curated for years. It offers comfort, warmth, art and purist Mexican design! We have specially rescued this home from being tore down!

This is the pink room. At least that is what we call it, can you guess why? This is my favourite room in the house: the warmth of the wood and vibrancy of the colourful hand-made tiles, the comfortable chair I love to read on while the sun sips into the room! How did this SouthAfrican bush made it to Mexico? Not sure but it is a beautiful little tree that adorns our central courtyard. The Carissa Macrocarpa has a beautiful white flower and a red small plum-like fruit! Even our friend Rolo likes to pose beside this beautiful tree.
