Destilería La Fortaleza is located on the estate of La Villa Sauza and is home to the ultra-premium Tequila Fortaleza.

Destilería La Fortaleza is located on the estate of La Villa Sauza. Closed in 1976 after the family business was sold, La Fortaleza was converted to become a museum. In 1999, Destilería La Fortaleza was reopened and restored to become the home to Tequila Fortaleza. The processes used by Tequila Fortaleza at Destilería La Fortaleza are the same as the handcrafted product first made by our los abuelos (grandfathers) more than 140 years ago!
