📍🎗On May 9, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in events marking the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Second World War.

A Victory Parade was held on Red Square with the participation of several world leaders, including the Supreme Ruler of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim.

Following the parade, President Mirziyoyev, together with Vladimir Putin and other heads of state, laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Alexander Garden, honoring the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for Victory.

📍🎗9-may kuni Oʻzbekiston Prezidenti Shavkat Mirziyoyev Ikkinchi Jahon urushidagi Gʻalabaning 81 yilligiga bagʻishlangan tadbirlarda ishtirok etdi.

RAHMAT, UZBEKISTAN!

Sebagai seorang yang bersekolah rendah di Malaysia, kemudian ke sekolah menengah dan universiti di England, saya telah mempelajari serta menyerap pengaruh budaya Malaysia dan British. Malah, ibu bapa saya membawa kami bercuti ke Eropah dan Amerika Syarikat.

Sudah sekian lama, ramai orang - seperti saya - hanya terfikir untuk melancong ke negara-negara di dunia Barat. Kami tidak cukup pengetahuan tentang negara-negara di Asia Tengah.

Saya pulang ke Malaysia dengan kenangan indah tentang Uzbekistan. Setiap orang yang kami temui telah menunjukkan kemesraan serta layanan yang luar biasa kepada kami.

Bandar-bandarnya - jika dibandingkan dengan beberapa tempat yang pernah saya kunjungi - sangat bersih! Terdapat bunga-bunga yang indah di mana-mana. Terdapat taman-taman untuk orang ramai bersiar-siar.

Kedai cenderamata di Tashkent dipenuhi dengan barangan yang menunjukkan nilai seni yang tinggi - daripada kotak kayu yang diukir halus sehinggalah kepada lukisan dengan perincian yang begitu teliti. Selain itu, terdapat selendang, jaket, dan jubah labuh yang disulam dengan warna-warna yang begitu menyerlah.

Lawatan ke Pusat Ketamadunan Islam merupakan satu pengalaman yang akan saya ingat dan hargai selamanya. Saya harap saya mempunyai lebih banyak masa untuk melihat semua paparan yang berbeza. Pusat tersebut benar-benar mencerminkan keluasan ilmu para cendekiawan Zaman Kegemilangan Islam!

Bagi tiga bangunan utama di Dataran Registan di Samarkand - keindahannya membuatkan saya cukup terpaku! Kedua-dua bahagian luar dan dalam masjid serta madrasah di sana sangat indah.

Saya gemar melukis sekali sekala dan merasa sangat rendah diri melihat kesenian dan kemahiran semua tukang yang telah membina bangunan-bangunan tersebut serta kawasan persekitarannya.

Kompleks Imam Bukhari juga mempamerkan sekali lagi bakat kesenian rakyat Uzbekistan serta warisan dan tradisi mereka. Saya sangat menyukai tiang-tiang kayu yang diukir.

Saya juga akan sentiasa menghargai detik dapat berada di Maqam salah seorang cendekiawan teragung dalam Islam.

Muzium dengan visual interaktif itu membuatkan kami lebih memahami tentang cendekiawan agung ini, kebijaksanaannya, kecintaannya terhadap agama, dan pencarian ilmunya yang membawa beliau ke banyak pusat pembelajaran hebat dalam dunia Islam.

Kita semua pernah membaca tentang beliau: kompilasi Hadis-hadis beliau terus menjadi panduan bagi semua umat Islam sehingga ke hari ini.

In Shaa Allah, dengan izin Allah, saya ingin membawa keluarga saya ke Uzbekistan.

Saya meninggalkan Uzbekistan, yang dipenuhi dengan begitu banyak sejarah dan keindahan, dengan berat hati - tetapi juga dengan harapan agar saya dapat datang ke sini lagi.

Kepada semua orang yang telah menghujani saya bukan sahaja dengan layanan yang mesra, tetapi juga yang telah berkongsi ilmu mereka, saya hanya mampu berkata dengan seikhlas hati saya - “Rahmat”.

Semoga Allah memberkati rakyat Uzbekistan kerana berkongsi dengan dunia keindahan Islam semasa Zaman Kegemilangannya berabad-abad yang lalu, dan kerana memelihara serta melindungi ilmu para cendekiawan agung anda agar seluruh dunia dan kita - generasi Islam hari ini dapat belajar dan melihatnya sendiri.

RAHMAT, UZBEKISTAN!

As someone who went to school first in Malaysia, and then to secondary school and to university in England, I have learned and been influenced by both Malaysian and British culture. My parents took us for holidays in Europe and to the United States.

For far too long, a lot of people - like me - have only thought of travelling to countries in the Western world. We didn’t know enough about countries in Central Asia.
I return home to Malaysia with wonderful memories of Uzbekistan. Everyone we have met have been friendly, and have shown us so much warmth and great hospitality.

The cities - compared to some places I have travelled to - are super clean! There are beautiful flowers everywhere. There are parks for people to walk around.

Souvenir shops in Tashkent were filled with items which show great artistry - from finely-carved wooden boxes to the ones which are painted with such intricate detail. Then there are the scarves, the jackets, and long robes, which are embroidered in such rich and vibrant colours.

Visiting the Centre of Islamic Civilization was an experience I will remember and cherish always. I wish I had more time to see all the different displays. The centre truly captured the immense knowledge of the Muslim scholars of the Golden Age of Islam!

As for the three main buildings in the Registan Square in Samarkand - their beauty left me breathless! Both the exterior and interiors of the mosques and madrasahs are exquisite.

I paint a little and I felt so very humbled to see the artistry and skills of all the artisans who had built the buildings and its surroundings.

The Imam Bukhari Complex too showed again the artistry of the Uzbek people and their heritage and tradition. I loved the carved wooden pillars.

To be at the Maqam of one of the greatest scholars in Islam is another moment I will treasure!

The museum with the inter-active visuals made us understand more about this great scholar, his intelligence, his love of Islam, and his pursuit of knowledge which took him to many great centres of learning in the Islamic world.

We have all read about him : his compilation of the Hadiths serve as guidance for all Muslims until today.

In Shaa Allah, with Allah’s blessings, I would like to bring my family to Uzbekistan.

I leave Uzbekistan, which is filled with so much history and beauty, with a heavy heart - but with the hope that I can be here again.

To everyone who has showered me with not only great hospitality, but who have also shared with me their knowledge, I can only say with my heart and soul - “Rahmat”.

In Malaysia when we say “thank you”, we say “terima kasih” which can be translated to mean “accept our love.” From myself and everyone in the Malaysian delegation, please “accept our love”!

May Allah bless the people of Uzbekistan for sharing with the world the beauty of Islam during its Golden Age so many centuries ago, and for preserving and protecting the knowledge of your great scholars so that the rest of the world as we - the younger generations of Muslims can learn and see the greatness of Islamic civilisation.

🇺🇿🇺🇿🇺🇿🇺🇿 On May 3, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Samarkand. The visit began at the Imam Bukhari Complex, where prayers were offered at the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari.

Rebuilt under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the complex now accommodates up to 65,000 visitors daily. Since reopening before Ramadan Hayit, it has welcomed over 1 million visitors.

The President called for further improvements, including better infrastructure, enhanced conditions for pilgrims, and continued efforts to strengthen pilgrimage culture and spiritual values.

Prezident Shavkat Mirziyoyev davrida qayta qurilgan majmua hozirda kuniga 65 000 gacha ziyoratchini qabul qila oladi. Ramazon hayitidan oldin qayta ochilganidan beri u 1 milliondan ortiq ziyoratchini qabul qildi.

Prezident infratuzilmani yaxshilash, ziyoratchilar uchun sharoitlarni yaxshilash va ziyorat madaniyati va ma'naviy qadriyatlarini mustahkamlash bo'yicha sa'y-harakatlarni davom ettirishni talab qildi.

Ceren Güven Güres, Head of the UN Women Central Asia Liaison Office and Representative of the Uzbekistan Country Office, visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
During the meeting with the Chairperson of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Youth, Women, Culture and Sports Orzigul Qozikhonova, large-scale reforms implemented in the country to protect women’s rights, increase their socio-political activity, and ensure gender equality, as well as organizational issues related to the Second Asian Women’s Forum at a high level, were discussed. The parties stressed the importance of cooperation and the need for its consistent and continuous development, and expressed their willingness to further expand practical cooperation in this area.

The UN Women expressed its readiness to provide practical assistance in the careful development of the draft document with the participation of international experts.

BMT Ayollar tashkilotining Markaziy Osiyo boʻyicha aloqa idorasi rahbari va Oʻzbekiston mamlakat ofisi vakili Ceren Güven Güres Oliy Majlis Senatiga tashrif buyurdi.

Oʻzbekiston Respublikasi Oliy Majlisi Senatining Yoshlar, ayollar, madaniyat va sport masalalari qoʻmitasi raisi Orzigul Qozixonova bilan uchrashuvda mamlakatda ayollar huquqlarini himoya qilish, ularning ijtimoiy-siyosiy faolligini oshirish va gender tengligini taʼminlash boʻyicha amalga oshirilayotgan keng koʻlamli islohotlar, shuningdek, Ikkinchi Osiyo ayollar forumini yuqori darajada oʻtkazish bilan bogʻliq tashkiliy masalalar muhokama qilindi. The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, arrived in the city of Astana.
At the capital’s airport, the President of Uzbekistan was welcomed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov and other officials.
In accordance with the program of the visit, on April 22, the Leader of Uzbekistan will take part in the Regional Ecological Summit and the meeting of the Council of Heads of State-Founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.

Dr. Karomiddin Gadoev, held a productive meeting with the Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry of Malaysia, YB Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani. The discussions focused on key strategic areas, including the expansion of bilateral trade, the establishment of a joint industrial zone, and potential cooperation in the semiconductor industry

📌🇺🇿 The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the nationwide artificial intelligence hackathon – “National AI Hackathon”, held at the universal sports complex in the city of Bukhara.
This event is being held as part of the ongoing policy to develop Uzbekistan’s artificial intelligence ecosystem, implemented at the initiative of the Head of State.
The leaders were presented with the results of ongoing work in digitalization and the implementation of AI technologies. A presentation was also held on the ecosystem that supports and promotes startups in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

Raqobatbardosh bozor iqtisodiyotini yaratishga qaratilgan islohotlar natijasida O'zbekiston Iqtisodiy erkinlik indeksida 6 pog'onaga ko'tarilib, 2025-yilda 100-o'rinni egalladi.
Bundan tashqari, O'zbekiston Raqobatbardosh sanoat samaradorligi indeksida o'z o'rnini 5 pog'onaga ko'tarilib, 153 mamlakat orasida 83-o'ringa ko'tarildi. Yig'ilishda intellektual mulk sohasidagi islohotlar natijalari muhokama qilindi. Xususan, mualliflik huquqini himoya qilish muddati 50 yildan 70 yilgacha uzaytirildi. 2025-yil davomida 1257 ta ta'sir chorasi amalga oshirildi va 2608 ta intellektual mulk obyektlariga bo'lgan huquqlar himoya qilindi. Senatorlar ustuvor reytinglar va indekslar uchun maqsadlarni belgilash, mas'ul davlat idoralari faoliyatini muvofiqlashtirish va sohaga xos yo'l xaritalarini ishlab chiqish bo'yicha takliflar bildirdilar.

🇺🇿🇺🇿🇲🇾🇲🇾During the Senate Committee on Budget and Economic Reforms meeting, the National Report on enhancing Uzbekistan’s position in key international ratings and indices was discussed.
As a result of the reforms aimed at creating a competitive market economy, Uzbekistan has risen by 6 positions in the Index of Economic Freedom, ranking 100th in 2025.
In addition, Uzbekistan has improved its ranking in the Competitive Industrial Performance Index, rising 5 positions to 83rd among 153 countries. The results of the intellectual property reforms were discussed at the meeting. In particular, the term of copyright protection has been extended from 50 to 70 years. During 2025, 1,257 influence measures were implemented, and the rights to 2,608 intellectual property objects were protected. The senators put forward proposals to set targets for priority ratings and indexes, coordinate the activities of responsible government agencies, and develop industry-specific roadmaps.
