Yesterday, Ambassador H.E. Peter Van Acker had the pleasure of addressing students at the University of Nottingham Malaysia.

In his lecture titled “The Shift in Diplomacy,” the Ambassador provided a look behind the scenes of modern diplomatic work. The discussion covered the deep-rooted ties between Belgium and Malaysia, how closely connected both countries are, and the complex challenges of navigating today’s multilateral environment.

One of the highlights was the interactive Q&A session. Students had the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions, and the Ambassador shared practical guidance for those considering a career in diplomacy and international affairs.

We extend our warmest thanks to the University of Nottingham Malaysia and to Prof. Benjamin Barton for their hospitality and for fostering such a meaningful dialogue between the academic world and the diplomatic community.
