Futurise was honoured to attend PDPA Connect: Strengthening Digital Trust 2026 and the launch of three new guidelines under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709), officiated by Deputy Minister of Digital (Kementerian Digital), YB Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong at Le Méridien Putrajaya on 30 April 2026.
The newly launched guidelines, Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA), Data Protection by Design (DPbD), and Automated Decision-Making & Profiling (ADMP), mark an important step towards strengthening digital trust, responsible data governance, and accountability in Malaysia’s evolving digital ecosystem.
Representing Futurise at the event was Head of Ecosystem Innovation, Dr. Andi Rossi, as a key representative of Jabatan Perlindungan Data Peribadi Malaysia’s strategic partner in the development of these newly launched guidelines.
As Malaysia accelerates towards a more connected and innovation-driven future, Futurise remains committed to supporting initiatives that foster trusted digital transformation, responsible innovation, and sustainable ecosystem development.

On 7 April 2026, Futurise had a session with the Deputy Minister of Economy (Kementerian Ekonomi), YB Dato' Indera Mohd Shahar Abdullah at his office for a constructive discussion on shaping Malaysia’s future economy.
The session covered key areas such as the digital, circular, and gig economies, alongside the role of the National Regulatory Sandbox (NRS) in enabling innovations including autonomous vehicles, digital healthcare, and drone technology.
Discussions also highlighted how Akademi Kecemerlangan Sukan Dron Negara programs support the development of TVET talent and create career pathways for youth through drone sports.
The engagement reflects a shared focus on ensuring these initiatives move beyond ideas into practical implementation, strengthening local capabilities in future technologies while creating more opportunities for youth, TVET talent, and startups.

The Ministry of Transport Malaysia, in collaboration with Futurise and MIROS, hosted the Autonomous Vehicle workshop on 1 April 2026, with participation from representatives of JPDP, JPJ, MARII, and other government agencies. The workshop focused on Malaysia’s AV roadmap, including understanding the roles and expectations of each agency, establishing a clear timeline, and mapping key stakeholders to support the development of a sustainable autonomous vehicle ecosystem.

On 31 March 2026, Dr Andi Rossi, Acting Head of Innovation Ecosystem at Futurise, was invited as a speaker and panel member at the Low Altitude Economy (LAE) Seminar hosted by the Ministry of Transport Sarawak and Curtin University Malaysia.
In collaboration with Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia, and in Futurise’s role as the AAM Secretariat, the session highlighted the growing potential of the Low Altitude Economy as an emerging economic movement within the aviation industry. Discussions also explored the role of technologies such as in shaping the future of aviation and mobility.
Futurise was honoured to receive a token of appreciation in recognition of its contribution to the seminar. We also extend our sincere thanks to MOTS and Curtin University Malaysia for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of a meaningful exchange on the future of the Low Altitude Economy.

Futurise, Cyberview and Lin-Gang Special Area Committees witnessed the MoC signing between SICVIC Intelligent Mobility Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Skyvast Corporation for the establishment of the China–Malaysia Intelligent Data and Algorithm Training Center in Cyberjaya.
