Institut Darul Ridzuan (IDR) is a think-tank body for Perak State Government. IDR undertakes independent and high quality problem solving-oriented research on socio-economic and other relevant issues facing the State and advocates new public policy and recommendations, strategies and facilitation. IDR was initiated by Menteri Besar YAB Datoโ Seri DiRaja Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, in his effort to transform Perak into a developed state โ a vision that is laid out and elaborated into a blueprint named Perak Amanjaya. IDR works with a community of network, which includes academicians, social enterprises, government agencies and private companies, to ensure that Perak achieves a dynamic and sustainable economy; a high and equitable distribution of income; the creation of well-educated and highly skilled human capital; and a vibrant private sector. To that end, IDR formulates and advocates public policies that reflect the three main objectives of Perak Amanjaya: Quality Opportunities, Quality Income and Quality Living.
