UNIVERSITI MALAYA ECONOMICS SUMMIT (UMES) 2026

UMES 2026 was successfully held on 08.05.2026 - 09.05.2026 at AICB Centre of Excellence. The programmes was officiated by Professor Geoffrey of Founder and Director of Williams Business Consultancy.

The program was organised with the aim of providing exposure, enhancing soft skills, and strengthening collaboration among participants. Various engaging activities and informative sessions were conducted throughout the program, including knowledge-sharing sessions, interactive activities, and self-development programmes that benefited all participants.

The programme received encouraging participation from students and university members. The cooperation and commitment shown by all parties involved contributed significantly to the smooth ex*****on and overall success of the programme.

It is hoped that programmes such as this will continue to be organised in the future in order to create a positive impact on student development while fostering teamwork and leadership among participants.

UNIVERSITI MALAYA CROWNED MALAYSIA CHAMPION AT HSBC BUSINESS CASE COMPETITION 2026

Heartiest congratulations to Team Pegasus Strategy+ from the Faculty of Business and Economics, for emerging as the Malaysia Champion at the HSBC Malaysia Business Case Competition 2026! The team was awarded the championship title together with a RM15,000 cash prize and will now represent Malaysia at the HSBC Asia Pacific and Global Finals in Hong Kong this June.

The team comprises Gurveer Singh Sidhu A/L Jaswinder Singh (Bachelor of Business Administration), Wong Poh Yee (Bachelor of Accounting), Ida Shahira Muhammad Syarizal (Bachelor of Economics), and Lai Min Han (Bachelor of Computer Science), under the mentorship of Dr. Siti Hawa Yusof.

The HSBC Business Case Competition is one of the region’s most prestigious business competitions, bringing together top university teams to solve real-world strategic and financial challenges. This achievement reflects Universiti Malaya’s continued commitment towards academic excellence, industry engagement, critical thinking, leadership development, and global competitiveness.

We wish Team Pegasus Strategy+ the very best as they represent Malaysia at the international finals in Hong Kong. 🇲🇾
