From Malaysia to Japan 🇲🇾➡️🇯🇵

One of our postgraduate students, Rafl Al Daraji, recently completed a special research attachment at Kyushu University under the supervision of Professor Nishida Motohiro as part of the exchange programme between Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Malaya and Kyushu University ✨

During her time at the Greenpharma Research Center for System Drug Discovery, she was exposed to advanced techniques involving cell culture, cell lines, and various cell-based assays 🧫🔬 But beyond the lab, the experience was also about personal growth, adapting to a new culture, learning discipline and commitment, building confidence, and appreciating the simplicity of everyday life in Japan 🌸

At the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Malaya, we encourage our postgraduate students to take part in opportunities like this. Research is not only about experiments and publications but it is also about exposure, collaboration, and growing into well-rounded researchers with global perspectives 🌍

We are pleased to recognize Aida Kazempourfard, a final year B.Pharm (Hons) student, for her successful publication in a WOS Q2 journal (Journal of Pharmaceutical Innovation).

Her work, “Formulation and Characterization of Sustained-Release Multipolymeric Nanospheres for Oral Insulin with Emphasis on Structural Stability and Release Kinetics,” demonstrates strong scientific rigor and innovation in pharmaceutical research.
