🔔 ANNOUNCEMENT: GENERAL CIRCULAR NO. 1/2026

The Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) wishes to inform all registered Architects, Interior Designers, Building Draughtsmen, and relevant stakeholders on the issuance of General Circular No. 1/2026.

This Circular outline compliance requirements for promotion platforms (physical and digital) that feature or advertise professional services related to Architecture, Interior Design, and Building Draughtsmanship.

📌 Key highlights include:
✔️ Mandatory registration with LAM for all listed professionals
✔️ Requirement for platforms to verify registration status
✔️ Display of LAM registration numbers for transparency
✔️ Prohibition of offering free professional services
✔️ Proper use of professional titles in accordance with the Architects Act 1967
✔️ Adherence to truthful and transparent advertising standards

LAM emphasises that compliance with the Architects Act 1967 and Architects Rules 1996 (as amended) is mandatory to safeguard professional integrity and protect public interest.

All members are advised to take note of this Circular and ensure engagement only with compliant and sanctioned platforms.
