Have you 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 methods such as 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭, 𝐃𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡’𝐧𝐆𝐨? Do you like them? Do you hate them? We want to talk to you! We are conducting a research project on digital payment systems in Southeast Asia. We want to know how these systems are used in everyday life and how they have affected senses of space and belonging for citizens and overseas residents.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓: our project includes stand-alone interviews and a diary method. Both offer incentives for participation.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 (𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫): we will ask how you use digital payment systems in your day to day life, how the system has impacted your habits and routines, how you first encountered digital payments and how it has changed since. The interview participants will receive a 𝟑𝟎 𝐌𝐘𝐑 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 for their time.

𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝 (~𝟐𝐡𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤): we will ask you to document your payments for one week and discuss with us your experiences. you will be asked to keep a diary of your use of payments (digital and non-) for one week. At an intake interview, we will ask some questions and explain the diary. At the end of the week-long diary period, we will invite you to an exit interview about how the diary affected or gave you new insights into your payments practice. Total incentive for completing all parts of the diary is 𝟏𝟑𝟓 𝐌𝐘𝐑 .

𝐖𝐇𝐎: we want to talk to people about their use of payments in everyday life, both digital payments and other forms. We are interested in talking to people who dislike digital payments and to people who like them.

Participants must meet the following criteria:

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄: we will be conducting in-person interviews and intakes at 𝐔𝐒𝐌@𝐊𝐋 ’s facilities in 𝐌𝐨𝐅 𝐈𝐧𝐜 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 .

An Inspiring Afternoon with Tan Sri Dr. Zakri Abdul Hamid.

It was a privilege for our MSDP (Master in Sustainable Development Practice) students to host Tan Sri Dr. Zakri Abdul Hamid, who shared valuable insights on science diplomacy, biodiversity, and sustainable development through his talk “Sejarah Swa-Kembara”. The engaging session featured active student participation and meaningful discussion on shaping policies and addressing sustainability challenges. We are truly grateful for his inspiring sharing.
