On the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of our country's accession to international sovereignty, H.E. Mr. Abdoulaye Barro wishes the Senegalese Nation a happy Independence Day

On February 15th and 16th of 2023, His Excellency Abdoulaye Barro had the distinct pleasure of travelling to Jakarta to join Mr. Serigne Mbaye Thiam, the Minister of Water and Sanitation of Senegal, to launch the 10th World Water Forum which is slated to take place from May 18th to 24th in 2024 in Bali.

At a formal ceremony to recognize the dedication and exemplary service of two esteemed officials, H.E Abdoulaye Barro, on behalf of the President of the Republic, was honored with the opportunity to present Mr. Abdoul Aziz Loum, the First Counselor, and Mrs. Mame Djimith Faye Diarra, the Second Secretary, with the prestigious National Order of Merit at the rank of Chevalier. This award is a testament to the significant contributions these two individuals have made to the nation.

The Embassy of Senegal in Malaysia had the honor of hosting the visit of a prestigious delegation led by the esteemed Mr. Racine Ba, Director General of the High Authority of Waqf Senegal, accompanied by Mr. M.L. Athie. During their stay, the delegation conducted highly fruitful and constructive meetings with the representatives of Unirazak University, INCEIF University, Jakim, Yayasan and IILM. The discussions were highly enriching and had a positive impact on all parties involved.

H.E Abdoulaye Barro was honored to have the opportunity to host a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Axel Cruau, Ambassador of France in Malaysia, and found their conversation both engaging and insightful.
