Dhamma Earth Sunday School recently organized a meaningful and heartwarming visit to Siri Jayanti Metta Care Old Folks Home on 26 April 2026, bringing together children and senior citizens in a beautiful expression of Buddhist values.

Through this special visit, our students learned the importance of respecting, caring for, and showing gratitude to the elderly—a core teaching in Buddhism. It was truly inspiring to see the children interact with the residents with kindness, patience, and sincerity.

🙏 The highlight of the day was a special blessing session conducted by two venerable Sayalay, who offered prayers and blessings to all the old folks and participants. The peaceful atmosphere brought comfort, joy, and spiritual upliftment to everyone present.
🌸 To make the day even more lively and engaging:

A flower arrangement activity was held, where both children and the elderly participated together, creating beautiful floral displays and meaningful connections.

Fun games for the children added laughter and energy to the event, filling the space with happiness.

💛 Through these activities, Dhamma Earth Sunday School hopes to instill compassion, empathy, and respect in young minds—while bringing smiles and warmth to the hearts of the elderly.
It was a day filled with love, laughter, and blessings—a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Through gentle massage therapy and Terahertz blower therapy, they bring not only physical relief but also warmth, care, and human connection to every senior they serve.

This meaningful monthly session helps to:

SJWO 活力马年 2026 – Energetic Horse Year 2026 🐎

Chinese New Year Welfare Outreach Mission
On Saturday, 7 March 2026, volunteers from Siri Jayanti Welfare Organisation (SJWO) gathered early in the morning at Metta Care Centre to begin our annual Chinese New Year Welfare Outreach Mission.

With vehicles loaded with essential food supplies, our team set off on a meaningful journey — symbolically “galloping” across Kepong and Taman Ehsan, bringing festive blessings, care, and support to those who need it most.

Throughout the day, SJWO volunteers visited four welfare homes, delivering essential food items and sharing the warmth of the Chinese New Year with the residents.

Our journey brought us to:

• Persatuan Kebajikan Warga Tua dan Kanak-Kanak Wilayah Persekutuan – a home caring for both elderly residents and children.

• Sunteck Handicapped Welfare Home – supporting individuals with special needs.

• Hao Dak Old Folks Home (甲洞孝德老人堂) – providing care and shelter for elderly residents.

• Life Tree Hope Handicapped Welfare Association (希望生命树残障儿童福利中心) – a centre dedicated to children with disabilities.

Beyond delivering food supplies, the most precious moments were the smiles, conversations, and heartfelt interactions shared with the residents.

These simple moments remind us that Chinese New Year is not only about celebration, but also about compassion, sharing, and community spirit.

Despite a tight schedule and navigating traffic across multiple locations, our volunteers worked together with great teamwork and dedication to ensure that every home received the support prepared for them.

This outreach mission truly reflected the spirit of “Energetic Horse Year 2026” — moving forward with energy, compassion, and a strong commitment to serve society.

TCM@MettaHome Services Resumed

Today, 5 March 2026, marks the resumption of our MettaHome weekly health service. Every Thursday, our team returns with a mission to continue serving the community with care and dedication.

It is always heartwarming to see residents around the centre gathering early, seeking support for their health and well-being.

From localized bone setting to acupuncture and general TCM consultation, each session is an opportunity for us to give back to the community and help relieve discomfort for those in need.

Seeing the smiles and relief from the residents reminds us why we continue this journey of service.

Small acts of care can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. ❤️

We look forward to many more Thursdays of service, compassion and healing together.

🌸 14th Day of Chinese New Year – A Day of Love & Care 🌸

Today, 2nd March 2026, on the 14th day of CNY (Year of the Horse 🐎), our hearts at Siri Jayanti Metta Care Centre were deeply touched.

Sis Brenda and her lovely group of friends came with big smiles and even bigger hearts ❤️ to serve our beloved elders with personal grooming services —

To many of us, it may seem simple… but to our elders, it is dignity, comfort, and feeling cared for.

The ladies also generously blessed the elders with Angpau 🧧, bringing joy, laughter and festive warmth into the centre. The smiles on their faces said it all.

Acts of kindness like this remind us that Chinese New Year is not just about celebration — it is about compassion, sharing, and spreading blessings to those around us.
