A dynamic and forward-looking discussion was held on 30th April 2026 with the Director General of Health, bringing together key stakeholders across Malaysiaโ€™s healthcare and regulatory ecosystem. The focus was clear: strengthening the regulatory and governance framework for regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy to ensure clinical applications remain safe, ethical, and grounded in robust science.

The session explored current regulatory approaches, emerging access pathways, and opportunities to deepen stakeholder engagementโ€”fostering meaningful dialogue and a shared vision for the future.

The meeting convened a distinguished multidisciplinary delegation, including:

- The Director of the Institute for Medical Research (IMR).
- The RMSC Guidelines Core Secretariat Team, led by the Head of the Cancer Research Centre (IMR), Dr Adiratna Mat Ripen.
- Representatives from the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC), led by Prof. Datoโ€™ Sri Dr. Abu Hassan Asaari Abdullah.
- Representatives from the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA), the Clinical Trial Section, and academia.

This is what meaningful progress looks likeโ€”collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to translating cutting-edge research into real impact for patients nationwide.

Have you ever thought about how a stamp as small as this is actually a "Little Ambassador for the Nation"? Itโ€™s more than just a sticker for postage; it is a historical record that will be cherished by our grandchildren one day.
