Waste is only waste if you do nothing with it.
On Trenner Ensim’s farm, oil palm waste is transformed into biochar to support soil health. He also grows crops such as mas cotek and ginger, creating a more diverse and resilient farm system.
It is a practical example of regeneration shaped by local knowledge and consistent effort.

Happy World Nutrition Day.
Balanced nutrition begins with understanding what goes into every meal, from pan to plate.
Did you know that vitamins A, D, E and K are fat-soluble? This means dietary fats play an important role in helping the body absorb these nutrients as part of a balanced diet.
Across the global nutrition community, research continues to deepen understanding of how fats support nutrient absorption and everyday food choices.
Better understanding leads to better choices, one meal at a time.

Do you enjoy fried food, but sometimes wonder if it is something to avoid?
When Lena notices that the poori looks oily, Chef Tiger’s answer makes Tappy pause. What seems simple at first opens up a bigger question about how food is prepared and why the choice of cooking oil matters.
Malaysian palm oil is commonly used in cooking for its stability at high temperatures, which plays a role in how food turns out.
It is a reminder that how food is prepared can shape how we experience it.

Many markets are already familiar with Malaysian Palm Oil, but deeper understanding is built through direct engagement.
The Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) was pleased to welcome His Excellency Adlan Mohd Shaffieq to MPOC Headquarters today, ahead of his appointment as Malaysia’s Ambassador to Türkiye.
The discussion focused on Türkiye’s strategic importance as one of the top five importers of Malaysian Palm Oil in 2025, and the role the commodity plays in the country’s oils and fats sector.
His Excellency was also briefed on current market developments and potential areas of collaboration between MPOC and the Malaysian Embassy in Türkiye.
Stronger market presence begins with shared understanding, clear evidence, and coordinated engagement. MPOC looks forward to supporting His Excellency in strengthening Malaysia’s palm oil engagement in Türkiye.

Strong relationships are built through listening, learning, and continued exchange.
The Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) was pleased to host H.E. Marianne Fosland, Ambassador of Norway to Malaysia (Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur) accompanied by Mr. Knut Øyvind Granli, Senior Adviser at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at MPOC HQ on 7 May 2026.
The engagement provided an opportunity to share with the Ambassador pertinent information about the Malaysian Palm Oil industry, including its economic role, sustainability journey, trade relevance, and smallholder development. MPOC CEO Ms. Belvinder Sron shared an overview of the industry and the Council’s role in supporting informed, constructive engagement with international stakeholders. The meeting also served as a space to exchange perspectives, as well as to strengthen institutional understanding between Malaysia and Norway.
