Raya edition book drop! 🌙✨
This charming little bakery café in the Kota Damansara neighbourhood has some of the most unforgettable freshly baked pastries like their sea salt shiopan or sourdough egg tarts/cookies. 🥐🥖 And… we have a feeling the founder might be a reader too - there’s a small shelf tucked away with a really thoughtful selection of books! 😍
On my second visit, I decided to bring along one of my books to leave behind - Roar by Cecilia Ahern, a collection of 30 short stories exploring women’s lives, challenges, and empowerment 💛 If you find it (and please let us know if you do!) - take it home, read it, and pass it on. 🫶🏻
✨To more reading, and to supporting the spaces and people quietly building communities around us! 📚✨

“Today’s little mission. 📚🍵✨
I’ve hidden this book The Mistletoe Murder somewhere inside . Among their specialty dessert and coffee, a clever little mystery awaits its next reader!
*Hint hint* the biggest clue is in photo 4 👀 if you find it, it’s yours, take it, read it - and when you’re done, send it back out into the wild for the next reader.
Let the mystery continue ✨”
-Until the next drop,
Book Ninja Carol 🤍

Today’s quiet mission. ✨I carried ’s The Kitchen God’s Wife with me and left it behind ☕️. Lately, these small acts give me a sense of purpose - reasons to wander my city, discover places I might’ve missed, and feel connected to the people around me - through books.
📖 Chose this title on purpose too. Something about its oriental roots feels right for this CNY season - stories of family, memory and inherited love finding their way to new hands. If this book finds you, take it home - read it - I hope it keeps you company for a while.

📖 That’s the idea behind this little movement - a quiet little ritual of leaving books for others to find. Help us to spread the love of reading ✨

Wheeee a new Books on the Move community library is now up and running ! Owner May is a book lover and a long time BOTM supporter. She purchased our stickers in bulk (with the intention to give back to the movement 🥹) and set up a mini library filled with her personal collection of books 📚- to share the joy of reading with all her customers. We love how there are books in every corner of the café (not just on the shelves!). The entire place is zen with lots of natural sunlight - perfect place to chill and read, and they serve quality Illy coffee ☕️ with good choices of food menu. Drop by and tag us in your photos! 😊
💡Pro tip: On weekends you may ask to park at the bays in front of the café or Starling Mall is just a short walk away.
