Another productive day for our *MTCP Visitors' Programme 2026* delegates on 5 May 2026! The day was packed with insightful briefings from:
Ministry of Economy: Kementerian Ekonomi - Exploring long-term socioeconomic policies and five-year national development plans.
Ministry of Rural and Regional Development: Kementerian Kemajuan Desa dan Wilayah - Learning about infrastructure and human capital growth to bridge the urban-rural gap.
Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE): Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi - Understanding the ecosystem that generates first-rate thinkers and skilled manpower.
Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC): Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya Malaysia - A look at the aspirations for Visit Malaysia 2026 and positioning the country as a premier sustainable destination.
From policy to practice, these engagements are building meaningful relationships and expanding professional networks for a shared future.

On 30 April 2026, Mr Aniff M. Fauzi, CDA a.i., hosted the Alumni Executive Meeting with MTCP alumni in Harare, ahead of the upcoming MTCP Alumni Zimbabwe Reception. Discussions focused on trade and investment opportunities, as well as strengthening capacity-building programmes. The session also provided a valuable platform for the Embassy to explore mutually beneficial engagements with key agencies such as ZIDA and ZIMTRADE to expand economic cooperation between Malaysia and Zimbabwe.

On 4 May 2026, we officially welcomed the participants of the Visitors’ Programme: A Familiarisation of Malaysia’s Policy and Development with a special welcoming dinner. Hosted by YBhg. Dato' Syed Mohamad Hasrin Tengku Hussin, Acting Deputy Secretary General (Multilateral Affairs), the evening was filled with vibrant conversation, warm hospitality, and the beginning of new professional friendships. 🤝🇲🇾
It was the perfect beginning of insightful learning and collaboration as we explore the heart of Malaysia’s policy and development landscape.

Day 1 of the Visitors’ Programme: A Familiarisation of Malaysia’s Policy and Development. 🇲🇾
We kicked off the programme with an insightful courtesy call to YBhg. Dato’ Syed Mohamad Hasrin Tengku Hussin, Acting Deputy Secretary General (Multilateral Affairs), where we discussed Malaysia’s strategic role on the global stage.
The momentum continued with an informative visit to the Unit Penyelarasan Lonjakan Prestasi / Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU), gaining a firsthand look at how national policies are transformed into impactful development.

We are pleased to announce that applications for the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) Scholarship 2026/2027 academic session are now open for eligible international students.
This scholarship offers an opportunity to pursue Master’s Degree studies at public universities in Malaysia.
