Applications are now open for the 1st IMT-GT Green City Award! 🌿

Across the IMT-GT subregion, cities are driving innovative solutions for greener, more inclusive, and climate-resilient urban development—and now, it is time to be recognised.

The IMT-GT Green City Award celebrates outstanding city-led initiatives in sustainable transport, energy transition, waste management, biodiversity, circular economy, climate governance, and education for sustainable development.

Open to eligible cities and local authorities across Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia, and Southern Thailand, the Award aims to showcase best practices, strengthen city-to-city cooperation, and inspire scalable solutions across borders 🌏

The Webinar on Oil Spill and Tarball Management brought together international experts and participants from across the IMT-GT subregion to share insights and best practices on addressing marine pollution 🌊

The session will be opened with remarks by Mr. Jiraphong Kuhakarn, Deputy Director-General of the Pollution Control Department, Thailand, followed by an introduction by Mr. Amri Bukhairi Bakhtiar, Director of CIMT.

The webinar highlights the importance of knowledge sharing and cross-border cooperation in strengthening collective response to environmental challenges.
