So many of us have been waiting for this day… Giriyondo Border Post has re-opened. I travelled from Mozambique to Tzaneen today and had a friendly albeit slightly disorganised reception - no official forms to fill in yet at the entry point on Moz side and the KNP was offline so I had to renew our Wild Card at Letaba Camp which was not a problem. The roads had a lot of signs of ellie activity but besides seeing a few elephants before entering the Transfronteir Park, I didn’t see anymore until just before Letaba. The roads are as I remember them, not worse. I had a thorough vehicle search by Border Control on the SA side. It is such a pleasure to be able to travel this way again, thank you to all the people responsible for making this happen.

Honoured to host the president at Massingir Safaris and well done to our K9 unit in the efforts they making with anti-poaching and detection work.

Baboons are highly sociable animals, living in troops, which consist of 20-80 individuals. During the day the groups split into smaller subgroups, consisting of 4-5 females with their young and a dominant male, who leads the group and defends it from other males. They are always on the alert, living in troops for protection and watching for predators.
