Outreach visit to Omaheke Regional Study and Resource Centre 02/03/2015

Ambassador Thomas Daughton conducted an outreach visit to the Omaheke Regional Study and Resource Centre (RSRC) in Gobabis February 17. He enjoyed a tour of the mobile library and center funded through a partnership between Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and Millennium Challenge Account-Namibia (MCA-N). Ambassador Daughton concluded his visit by meeting dignitaries, senior officials and librarians during a small reception at the RSRC.

CDC-Namibia is working to set up Project ECHO in Namibia. Using videoconferencing, Project ECHO pairs local clinicians with experts from the University of Washington, University of New Mexico, and the Elizabeth Glazier Pediatric AIDS Foundation in Washington, D. C. The practice builds the capacity of Namibia’s health workforce.
