GOVERNOR ALEX OTTI TO COMMISSION AND FLAG-OFF STRATEGIC ROAD PROJECTS ACROSS ABA NORTH, ABA SOUTH AND OSISIOMA LGAs

The administration of Governor Alex Chioma Otti, continues to deepen its commitment to infrastructure renewal and urban transformation across Abia State as His Excellency prepares to commission and flag-off another round of critical road projects within Aba North, Aba South and Osisioma Local Government Areas.

In line with the vision of building a modern, accessible and economically vibrant Aba, Governor Alex Otti, OFR, will on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, embark on the commissioning and flag-off of multiple strategic road projects aimed at improving connectivity, easing transportation challenges, boosting commercial activities and enhancing the living conditions of residents across the affected communities.

The projects, spread across key economic and residential hubs of Aba, reflect the administration’s determination to sustain the ongoing urban renewal drive and restore Aba’s status as a leading commercial destination in Nigeria.

6. 7-UP – Umuchichi Link Road, Aba (Flag-Off)

7. Nwogu Ajagba Street, Aba North

8. Nwala Street, Aba North

9. Sacred Heart Street, Aba South (Commissioning)

10. Elizabeth Avenue, Aba North (Commissioning)

11. Nigerian Brewery Road, Aba North (Commissioning)

12. Etche Road, Aba South (Commissioning)

13. Mosque Road, Aba South (Commissioning)

14. Crystal Park Road, Aba South

15. First Phase of Aba Ring Road, Umuaduru – Okpulo Umuobo, Osisioma (Flag-Off)

These projects form part of the larger infrastructural revolution currently transforming communities across Abia State under the purposeful leadership of Governor Alex Otti. The road interventions are expected to significantly improve mobility, stimulate trade and investment, open up previously neglected areas, and support the economic resurgence of Aba and its surrounding communities.

Residents, stakeholders, community leaders, party faithful, business owners and members of the public are encouraged to join His Excellency during the historic exercise as the government continues to deliver people-oriented projects that reflect the aspirations of Ndi Abia.
