SEASON'S GREETINGS

Christmas is a period to show love, therefore I call on the staff of the Ebonyi State Ministry of Health to emulate the essence of this season and unite for the greater good of our Ministry.

We should extend our hands of love and fellowship to our neighbors and live as one big family irrespective of Social, Political, and Religious leanings and Continue to trust God for a better tomorrow and a greater Ebonyi State.

Today, I was delighted to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the Brand New Set of Doctors produced by Ebonyi State University (EBSU).
It was a joyous moment to celebrate the accomplishments of the newly inducted doctors.
I encouraged them to be a great physician with human compassion and empathy while discharging their roles of treating patients.

Lastly, I urged them to see patients as their immediate family or relatives and treat them with utmost care and priority.
I wish them continued success and promise to use my good office to recognize the best brains in the subsequent inductions as a way to motivate others.

Once again, many congratulations to them.

Dr. EKUMA MEETS THE MINISTER OF HEALTH, ALI PATE.

The Honourable Commissioner for Health, Ebonyi State, Dr. Ekuma, Moses Ikenna (FWACS, FMCOG) has met with the Minister of Health, Prof. Ali Pate to discuss Health related issues of Ebonyi State including the process of commencing the official handover of former Ebonyi State University Teaching Hospital (EBSUTH) now Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital ii (AEFUTHA ii) back to Ebonyi State Government.

This new development is in line with the People's Charter of Needs Philosophy of His Excellency Rt Hon. Bldr. Dr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, FNIOB, GGCEHF to revitalize the Health and Educational Sector of the Ebonyi State to meet up with global standards.

There is no doubt that in a few months to come, the former Ebonyi State University Teaching will be written on the global map as the best teaching hospital with sophisticated medical equipment, Medical Teams, efficient healthcare delivery, and many more.

Stay tuned as the Honourable Commissioner unveils the next line of action.

CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE

It is with heart full of joy that I, Dr. Ekuma Moses Ikenna on behalf of my family, Management and Staff of State Ministry of Health warmly congratulate the indefatigable Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and his lovely wife, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs MaryMaudlin Uzoamaka Nwifuru, the Deputy Governor, Princess Patricia Obila, the Speaker Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa and wife, the State Chief Judge Justice Elvis Ngene and his brother Judges and indeed all Ebonyians on this double barrel celebration of Nigeria at 63 and Ebonyi at 27.

Your Excellency, we have every reason to celebrate as your achievement within few months in office is quite encouraging. We are proud of you and also grateful for revitalizing the health sector through recruitment of health professionals to take care of the health needs of the people in the 14 General Hospitals across the State, ongoing renovation of the cold room in primary healthcare, provision of water and equipment to 171 primary healthcare centers in each political ward which is in conjunction with the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, approved the release of fund for monitoring of healthcare services in general hospitals, primary healthcare centres and private clinics, payment of counterpart funds for Ebonyi State Health Insurance Agency, approval for establishment of ultra modern medical diagnostic centre etc.

Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (Onwa Oferekpe) on his well deserved victory at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja.
I sincerely welcome the sound judgement with heartfelt gratitude to God Almighty and the judiciary for dispensing justice without fear or favour.

Yesterday 27th August 2023 the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) of St. Paul's parish Ndioffia Nkaleke Achara in Ebonyi LG held her maiden August meeting celebration/ 1st merit Award ceremony.

During the ceremony, I was honoured with the title "ENYI-OHA"
Indeed , this award is a testament for good work and a clarion call for more work.
We shall continue to serve the Church and show solidarity when due.
I was ably represented by Sct. Odigbo Chika Nathaniel.

I was in double capacity as I represented the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in an epoch event today.
Our prestigious Citadel of Learning, Ebonyi State College of Nursing Science, Uburu performed her 5th Matriculation/Capping Ceremony and launching of her first Academic Journal.

Nursing Science is a very essential medical profession and we are not leaving any stone unturned as far as the health sector is concerned, this is in line with His Excellency, Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru's special interest to revive the sector and improve quality healthcare delivery.
