``` *_EBONYI STATE GOVERNMENT ASSURES OF SUPPORT TO USAID PROGRAMMES_* ``` .
Ebonyi State government has reiterated its commitment and political will to support all programmes of USAID in the state to ensure Ebonyi people benefit.
The state Commissioner for Grants and Donor Agencies, Chief Solomon Azi gave the assurance in Abakaliki during a meeting with USAID team who were in the state to ascertain impacts of their activities in the state as the wind up some of their interventions.
Chief Solomon Azi who stated that the state Governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru is highly committed to ensuring that the needs of Ebonyi people are met called on USAID to assist the state in building Health Technical College, intervene on the health of the aged and provision of ambulances for rural healthcare programmes of the state.
Chief Azi assured that Ebonyi state government under Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is ready to pay whatever counterpart funds required for any USAID programme in the state appealed for more programmes of USAID even a they wind up some.
The Leader of the team and Project Management Specialist USAID/Nigeria, Dr. Obinna Orjingene, the Procurement Specialist USAID/Nigeria, Mrs.Ifeyinwa Alex and the Programming Assisstant USAID/Nigeria,Chioma Eze appreciated the passion with which Ebonyi State government through the Ministry of Grants and Donor Agencies has displayed in the support of USAID programmes in the state saying they were in Ebonyi to review their programmes as some are winding up soon and called for Sustainability of the programmes.
They said that Ebonyi has the highest number of USAID health programmes because of the support and commitment of the state government.....

```*STATE GOVERNMENT APPEALS FOR SUPPORTS OF FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS IN THE STATE FOR HER DEVELOPMENT.*```

Ebonyi State Government has appealed to Financial Institutions in the state to assist her secure grants for the development of the people.
The State Commissioner for Grants and Donor Agencies, Chief Solomon Azi made the appeal in a meeting with Banks managers in Abakaliki.
Chief Solomon Azi who stressed that the state Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is real and ready to make life better for the people of the state through his People's Charter of Needs mantra charged the banks heads to be proactive and work in liaison with Ministry of Grants and Donor Agencies to attract grants for the State.
Chief Azi said the Governor means business in attending to the needs of the people of the state, called for combined efforts of banks and the go to develop the state assuring the banks that the government would implement any grants attracted through them.
Responding, some representatives of the including Mr. Philip Ofim of United Bank for Africa, Mrs. Chioma Edunanya of Sterling Bank, and Mr. Darlington Ekweghiariri of Zenith Bank thanked the State Governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru for give Banks in the state business friendly environment and assured that they would join forces with the Ministry of Grants and Donor Agencies to ensure total development of the State while Mr. Chukwubuzo Nwobu of Union Bank Plc appealed for more patronage from the state.
The Director of Finance and Account, Ministry of Grants and Donor Agencies, Mr. David Elom thanked the Banks for their understanding with the government through the Ministry of Grants and Donor Agencies and prayed for sustainance of such for the overall good of the people of the state.
The meeting attracted Heads of banks in the state.

It was indeed a joyous moment in the Ministry of Grants and Donor Agencies, Ebonyi State as the ADVOCACY FOR PEACE AND VALUES RE-ORIENTATION, Abuja honours the Honourable Commissioner, Chief Solomon Azi Ibor with Certificate of Integrity Stewardship Award.
The event which attracted friends and well-wishers of the Honourable Commissioner was a top-notch.
