*NEW MONTH MESSAGE FROM CHIEF AGWU AMA AGWU*
*NDC House of Representatives Candidate, Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency*

Good morning my people,
Happy New Month to you all sons and daughters of Afikpo and Edda, home and abroad.

As we step into this new month, I pray it brings light where there has been darkness, progress where there has been delay, and provision for every home in our constituency. May God bless your hands, protect your families, and open new doors for you and our land.

*A New Month, A Renewed Commitment*
This month is another reminder that time waits for no one. While we wait for political seasons, our people still need water, light, jobs, healthcare, and schools that work. That is why I have never waited for office to start serving.

The pure water you drink, the garri and rice processing in Edda that will be extended in Afikpo, the jobs for our youths and women, the ICT training, medical support, and scholarships for our children — these were not campaign promises. They are proof that service can start before a mandate.

*The Work Ahead*
As a Chartered Accountant and entrepreneur, my focus remains simple: turn our constituency’s resources into real results. This month and beyond, I remain committed to:
1. *Fighting for light* Activating the Amassiri sub-power station and pushing rural electrification through legislative oversight.
2. *Building our economy* – Attracting federal investments, UBEC/TETFUND projects, and partnerships that expand what we’ve started with agro-processing.
3. *Protecting public funds* – Applying budget discipline and accountability so every naira meant for Afikpo/Edda works for Afikpo/Edda.

*My Pledge*

I am not asking for your vote because I am new. I am asking because I have started the work at home, and I am ready to expand it with the power of law and representation.

Let this new month be the month we choose capacity over empty promises. Let it be the month we decide that Edda/Afikpo deserves a representative who knows how to read the budget, balance the books, and deliver results.

May this month be fruitful for you, your family, and our great constituency.

*Capacity. Competence. Constituency First.*

*BEYOND PROMISES: THE TRACK RECORD OF CHIEF AGWU AMA AGWU IN EDDA*
_NDC House of Representatives Candidate, Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency_

We understand the frustration. For too long, our people have heard big promises during election seasons, only to be left with empty hands after. That’s why skepticism is natural when a new commitment is made.

But leadership is not only about what one promises to do — it’s about what one has already done when no one was watching.

*Before politics. Before primaries. Chief Agwu Ama Agwu has been investing directly in Edda.* His development footprint is visible, not just in words:

*1. Industrial & Agro Processing Investments in Oso Edda*
Chief Agwu established a *pure water and bottled water factory* in Edda, creating direct jobs for our youths and women, and providing clean, affordable drinking water to the community.
On a large expanse of farmland in Oso Edda, he runs an integrated agro-processing hub producing:
- *Palm oil*
- *Cassava to garri processing*
- *Rice processing mills*
- *Cashew processing*

This is not paper investment. It’s machinery on ground, workers earning daily, and Edda’s agricultural produce gaining value before it leaves our land.

*2. ICT & Human Capital Development*
Through structured *ICT training schemes*, Chief Agwu has supported young people in Edda with digital skills that match today’s economy. This is about preparing Edda youths to compete beyond the village square and earn globally.

*3. Medical & Health Benefits Scheme*
He initiated *medical health benefits schemes* that have assisted families in Edda with access to basic healthcare support. For many households, this intervention reduced the burden of medical bills and saved lives.

*4. Educational Scholarship*
Chief Agwu has sponsored *educational scholarships* for indigent students across Edda, ensuring that lack of funds does not cut short the dreams of our children. Education remains one of his key pillars for breaking the cycle of poverty.

So when Chief Agwu Ama Agwu now speaks about attracting investment, activating the Amassiri sub-power station, and using legislative authority for rural electrification, it is not a new idea. It is a continuation of the same approach he has applied in Edda: identify a need, invest resources, create jobs, and build systems that last.

*Promises are cheap. Track record is expensive.* The water you drink, the garri processed, the palm oil produced, the health support rendered, and the students in school today all bear witness.

Afikpo/Edda deserves representation that has already proven capacity at home before asking for mandate at the federal level. That representation is Chief Agwu Ama Agwu.

*The work has started. The mandate will expand it.*

*CHIEF AGWU AMA AGWU, NDC HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CANDIDATE, PLEDGES STRATEGIC LEGISLATIVE ACTION AND INVESTMENT-DRIVEN SOLUTIONS TO RESTORE ELECTRICITY IN AFIKPO/EDDA*

By Harmony Nnachi

In a decisive and forward-looking commitment, the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, House of Representatives candidate for Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency, Chief Agwu Ama Agwu, has reaffirmed his resolve to deploy legislative authority, strategic partnerships, and foreign direct investment to address the long-standing electricity crisis in the constituency.

Speaking after his emergence as the party’s flag bearer, Chief Agwu emphasized that the persistent absence of stable electricity across Afikpo and Edda is more than an infrastructure gap — it is a developmental setback that continues to suppress economic growth, limit industrial expansion, and weaken the productivity of local enterprises and youths.

He made it clear that his approach, if elected, will go beyond routine advocacy. It will involve proactive legislative engagement, including sponsoring and supporting bills that prioritize rural electrification, facilitating federal interventions, and leveraging his oversight functions to ensure that critical power projects — particularly the long-neglected Amasiri sub-power station — are fully activated and optimized for public benefit.

Chief Agwu further outlined his plan to attract credible foreign investors and technical partners into the constituency’s power sector. According to him, sustainable electricity requires more than government funding; it demands a public-private investment model that introduces efficiency, innovation, and long-term maintenance structures.

“The people of Afikpo/Edda have waited too long for basic infrastructure that should ordinarily power development,” he said. “Electricity is central to job creation, small business growth, education, healthcare delivery, and overall socio-economic transformation.”

Positioning himself as a candidate of capacity and results, Chief Agwu noted that leadership must translate promises into measurable outcomes. His vision, he explained, is to move Afikpo/Edda from years of power deficiency to a future defined by stable electricity, economic revitalization, and inclusive development.

He concluded by assuring constituents that his candidacy represents more than political participation — it is a strategic mission to restore dignity, opportunity, and progress through effective representation at the federal level.

*AFIKPO/EDDA 2027: A CASE FOR COMPETENCE, EQUITY, AND RESULTS*

By Harmony Nnachi

Elections in Afikpo/Edda should not be reduced to party labels or recycled promises. The real question is straightforward: who has the capacity, credibility, and clarity of purpose to deliver measurable outcomes? Representation at the federal level is not ceremonial. It is a strategic mandate to attract projects, influence policy, and defend constituency interests. That standard is what should guide our choice.

For too long, Afikpo/Edda has operated below its potential. One of the clearest indicators is power supply. Over a decade of absent electricity has stifled small businesses, discouraged investment, and limited opportunities for young people. This is not an abstract problem. It affects productivity, education, healthcare delivery, and household income. Any serious candidate must present a practical roadmap for power, whether through federal electrification programs, partnerships with REA initiatives, mini-grid deployment, or legislative pressure to prioritize the constituency.

Beyond electricity, the development gap is visible in infrastructure, youth employment, and access to federal opportunities. Effective representation requires more than attendance in Abuja. It demands legislative competence, committee influence, and the ability to convert relationships into results: projects, budgets, and policies that directly benefit Afikpo/Edda.

This is where *Chief Agwu Ama Agwu* stands out as a credible option for the House of Representatives. The campaign should be anchored on four pillars:

*1. Governance Capacity and Legislative Effectiveness*
Representation is about outcomes. A viable candidate must demonstrate the ability to navigate the National Assembly, sponsor relevant bills, influence budget allocations, and ensure project ex*****on. Afikpo/Edda needs a representative who understands both policy and politics.

*2. Power and Economic Revitalization*
A targeted plan for electricity is non-negotiable. This includes facilitating federal-backed electrification projects, advocating for grid expansion, and supporting decentralized solutions that can power SMEs and local industries. Power is the backbone of economic growth.

*3. Equity, Zoning, and Political Balance*
Sustainable peace in Afikpo/Edda depends on fairness. Zoning is not just a slogan. It is a stabilizing principle that ensures inclusion and reduces political friction. Respecting this balance strengthens legitimacy and fosters unity.

*4. Youth and Enterprise Development*
With the right representation, Afikpo/Edda can access federal grants, skills programs, and enterprise support schemes. The goal is to move from dependency to productivity, creating an environment where young people can build and scale.

This election cycle should mark a shift from personality-driven politics to performance-driven decisions. Voters must interrogate track records, scrutinize plans, and reject tokenism. Temporary inducements, what many call “common change,” cannot substitute for long-term development.

*_Afikpo/Edda deserves consistent power supply.
Afikpo/Edda deserves infrastructure that supports growth.
Afikpo/Edda deserves a voice that can negotiate and deliver._*

The path forward is clear: vote based on competence, integrity, and a concrete development agenda.

*Chief Agwu Ama Agwu represents that direction for Afikpo/Edda.*

THE PEOPLE’S MANDATE: A COMMITMENT TO REPRESENTATION, PROTECTION, AND DELIVERY

By Chief Agwu Ama Agwu
Edda/Afikpo Federal Constituency

My people of Edda and Afikpo,

In every democratic journey, there comes a moment that separates intention from action, and rhetoric from responsibility: the mandate of the people must remain the center of leadership.

We are entering a critical political season that demands clarity of purpose and firmness of conviction. In moments like this, the voice of the people must not only be heard—it must be respected, defended, and represented with absolute sincerity.

As Chief Agwu Ama Agwu, I reaffirm a simple but powerful principle: your interest is my greatest concern on this journey.

The essence of representation is not ambition; it is obligation. Leadership is not about occupying space; it is about safeguarding the collective interest of those who entrust you with their mandate.

When we say the political hand that shields the interest of the people will be embraced, we speak to a deeper democratic truth: governance must be evaluated by protection, performance, and presence.

Afikpo/Edda deserves representation that:

1. Defends the constituency.. in legislative spaces.
2. Secures opportunities.. for economic growth and youth empowerment.
3. Ensures development is not delayed or denied.
4. Keeps the people at the center.. of every political decision.

We have declared our intention, and that declaration carries responsibility.

We are not approaching 2027 as spectators. We are approaching it as participants in a democratic process that must reflect the will, dignity, and aspirations of our people.

This journey is anchored on:
- Accountability... to the electorate.
- Commitment.. to visible development outcomes.
- Unwavering.. focus on constituency interest.

Because leadership, at its core, is a contract between the people and those who seek to serve them.

Representation is not symbolic. It is functional.
It means:
- Speaking for the people where decisions are made.
- Fighting for inclusion where resources are distributed.
- Ensuring that Afikpo/Edda is not left behind in national development conversations.

This is the responsibility we embrace—not partially, but fully.

My people, this is not a personal pursuit. It is a collective movement shaped by shared concerns and shared hopes.

We are guided by one belief: the future of Edda/Afikpo must be shaped by those who understand it, live it, and are committed to improving it.

Together, we will remain focused, organized, and committed to the democratic process ahead.

IN CONCLUSION

Let it be clearly stated:

_We have declared.
We are committed.
And by the grace of the people, we will be on the ballot in 2027.

Because leadership is not given—it is earned through trust, service, and consistent alignment with the people’s interest.

And in this journey, one truth remains constant:

The people’s interest is the foundation, the guide, and the ultimate destination.

*A CLARION CALL TO NDE EDDA: UNITE BEHIND CHIEF AGWU AMA AGWU TO RESTORE EQUITY IN 2027*

*Nde Edda, my people, umunne m,*

The 2027 House of Representatives election is not just another contest. It is a defining moment for equity, justice, and the political dignity of Edda.

For 16 years, Rt. Hon. Iduma Igariwey Enwo has occupied the seat for our federal constituency. A fourth term would extend his tenure to 16 years personally, and 24 uninterrupted years for Afikpo North alone — in a position meant to rotate between Edda and Afikpo.

*This is not an attack on any individual. This is a stand for fairness.*

With indications that Hon. Igariwey has secured the APC ticket for another term, the path before Nde Edda is clear: we must set aside our differences and unite behind one consensus candidate. Fragmentation has cost us too much. Unity is now our only strategy.

*WHY THIS MOMENT DEMANDS CONSENSUS*

1. *It Is Edda’s Turn*
The House of Representatives seat belongs to both Edda and Afikpo. Equity and natural justice demand rotation. After 24 years, it is the turn of Edda to produce the next representative.

2. *One Edda, One Candidate*
Divided, we weaken ourselves. United, we are unstoppable. Chief Agwu Ama Agwu, remains — not as a perfect man, but as a servant ready to unify Edda and speak for all of Edda/Afikpo in Abuja.

3. *The Platform Must Serve the People*
Whether under ADC, NDC, or any other legally viable platform, our mission remains unchanged: to end Edda’s exclusion and deliver real results. The National Democratic Congress, strengthened by the credibility of Mr. Peter Obi, currently offers a credible path free of the legal encumbrances now facing other parties. We will not miss an opportunity that puts Edda first.

*TO OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN AFIKPO NORTH*

We recognize and respect the many equity-minded leaders in Afikpo North who believe that rotation deepens democracy. This seat is not the inheritance of one man or one LGA. We trust you will stand with Edda in 2027, as we have stood with Afikpo in the past. Our victory will be a victory for the entire federal constituency.

*NDE EDDA, THE TIME IS NOW*

1. *End the infighting*. Our real opponent is 24 years of exclusion, not each other.
2. *Embrace consensus*. I am ready to lead, and ready to work with every stakeholder to build a single, formidable Edda front.
3. *Take the strategic path*. If NDC provides the clearest route to the ballot and to victory, then let us take it — not for the party’s sake, but for Edda’s sake.

We are not contesting for a title. We are contesting to bring power to our communities, jobs to our youth, and a voice to Edda that cannot be ignored.

We have the population. We have the competence. We have the moral case.
*All we need now is unity of purpose.*

*Let 2027 be the year Edda reclaims its rightful place. Let it be the year we tell our children that we stood together, and we won together.*

*Unu jookwa! Ka anyị jee mee ya.*
_Arise, let us go and do it._

*PUBLIC DISCLAIMER BY CHIEF AGWU AMA AGWU*
*Member, African Democratic Congress (ADC) | Edda/Afikpo Federal Constituency*
*May 1, 2026*

My attention has been drawn to rumours and false insinuations circulating in some quarters that I, Chief Agwu Ama Agwu, have defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) or any other political platform.

*I state unequivocally and for the avoidance of doubt: I REMAIN A BONA FIDE, COMMITTED, AND LOYAL MEMBER OF THE AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (ADC).*

I have not, at any time, joined the NDC or any other party. I am not in discussions to do so. My political identity, my investment, and my conviction remain firmly with the ADC — the platform through which we have chosen to pursue a new deal for Edda/Afikpo.

*To our party faithful and stakeholders in Edda/Afikpo Federal Constituency:*

1. *Disregard the mischief*. These rumours are sponsored by those unsettled by the growing strength of our movement and the unity we are building across Edda and Afikpo.
2. *Remain loyal and resolute*. The ADC is on the ballot. The Supreme Court has affirmed the leadership of Distinguished Senator David Mark as National Chairman, and INEC has duly updated its records. We are not distracted by temporary legal hurdles that will be resolved.
3. *Stay the course*. We did not come this far to abandon the house we are building. The ADC in Edda/Afikpo is not a tenant — we are landlords. We invested in this structure with our time, resources, and trust. We will not walk away from it.
4. *Claim your party*. This is your ADC. Defend it. Mobilise for it. Ignore the agents of confusion. Our eyes are on 2027, and our mission is clear: to deliver effective representation grounded in capacity, not convenience.

I understand the anxiety caused by ongoing court matters. But let me reassure you: *the ADC will surmount this phase*. We have faced storms before. Leadership is tested not when the road is smooth, but when it is rough. This is the time for courage, not capitulation.

To those spreading falsehood: *Edda/Afikpo is awake*. We cannot be bought, and we cannot be misled. Our people know the difference between those who build and those who only seek to benefit.

I call on all ADC ward chairmen, LGA executives, stakeholders, women, and youth leaders in Edda/Afikpo: *hold your grounds*. Continue your mobilisation. The structure we have built together is solid, and it will stand.

*I am ADC yesterday, today, and tomorrow.*

*Let us choose progress. Let us choose capacity. Let us choose ADC.*

God bless Edda/Afikpo Federal Constituency.
God bless the ADC.
God bless Nigeria.

*Signed:*
*Chief Agwu Ama Agwu*
