The leadership of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun state, has extended warm felicitations to the Assistant FInancial Secretary of the union, 𝐀𝐥𝐡𝐚𝐣𝐢 𝐀𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐦 𝐎𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐎𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐢𝐤𝐞 (𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐡) on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

The celebrant is a committed, dependable and resourceful figure within the leadership structure of our great union, whose contributions to the growth and stability of the union are both admirable and impactful.

On behalf of the leadership and entire members of AMORAN in Ogun State, I heartily congratulate our brother and colleague, Alhaji Akeem Omolade Oshinaiye, as he marks another year of grace and purpose today. The leadership and entire members of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Ogun State Chapter, heartily congratulate our father and leader, the number one member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙛 𝙔𝙚𝙢𝙞 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙪𝙨𝙞, on his appointment as the Chairman, Board of the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN), by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

This appointment is not only a recognition of Chief Sanusi’s unrivalled commitment to progressive leadership and excellence, but also a clear testament to his years of selfless service, discipline and dedication to the development of Ogun State and Nigeria at large.

As a respected statesman and visionary leader, we are strongly convinced that Chief Sanusi's wealth of experience and strategic insight will undoubtedly reposition CRIN for greater efficiency, research-driven innovation and national relevance, particularly in revitalizing Nigeria’s cocoa sector.

On behalf of the executives and the teeming members of our great union across the state, I wish Chief Sanusi a successful and impactful tenure in this new national assignment. AMORAN CELEBRATES ALHAJI JUNAID JAMIU (BABA AKOGUN) ON HIS BIRTHDAY

The leadership of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), ably chaired by Otunba Taofeek Sokoya has joined well-wishers and associates in celebrating the birth anniversary of ALHAJI (COMRADE) JAMIU JUNAID, popularly known as Baba Akogun, the highly respected Ex-Officio I of the union.

This was contained in a special birthday message released from the office of the AMORAN Chairman. In the statement, Otunba Sokoya described Comrade Junaid Jamiu as a loyal and experienced member of the State Executive Council.

He remarked, "My powerful Ex-Officio I, on behalf of the State Executive Council and the Board of Trustees of this great union, I extend our warmest congratulations to you on the occasion of your birthday. You are indeed one of the solid pillars of Ogun AMORAN, particularly in this current administration. Your invaluable contributions to the growth and progress of our association are deeply appreciated and duly recognized."

The AMORAN Chairman further wished the celebrant a prosperous year ahead, long life, sound health and many happy returns.

As we all know, May Day is a celebration of the dignity of labour, the sacrifices of workers and the unwavering commitment to building a better society through honest enterprise. Today, we recognize and commend the contributions of motorcycle riders, mechanics and transport operators who form an essential part of our state’s informal economy, offering vital services and livelihood support to millions of citizens.

Despite the situation of things, our members continue to operate with resilience, discipline and an enduring hope for a brighter future.

We sincerely appreciate our performing governor, H.E, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON for recognizing the strategic importance of the transport sector and partnering with us in crafting inclusive policies that protect the interests of riders, promote safety and support job creation. We reaffirm our commitment to responsible unionism, peace and the continuous professionalization of our operations.

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL – SAFETY FIRST FOR OUR CHILDREN

As schools across Ogun State resume for the final term of the 2024/2025 academic session, on behalf of all our members, I warmly welcome back our dear pupils, students, teachers and school administrators.

In this light, I hereby call on all motorcycle riders across Ogun State to prioritize the safety of our children.

Specifically:

Say a firm NO to overloading of passengers, especially school children.

Always ride carefully and reduce speeding while conveying children to and from their schools.

Ensure that every child transported is properly seated and protected.

The safety of every child is a collective responsibility. Let us demonstrate professionalism and genuine care in our services.

Once again, we wish all pupils and students a successful and rewarding last term. May excellence continue to be their portion.
