Gratitude Model School Ejio Arigbajo Ifo and Peculiar Role Model School Ibogun Ifo visit Ogun State Fire Service, Ifo Station
The Ogun State Fire Service, Ifo Station hosted students from Gratitude Model School Ejio Arigbajo Ifo and Peculiar Role Model School Ibogun Ifo on 25th February, 2026.
The students toured the fire station and learned about fire prevention, safety measures, and emergency response procedures. A demonstration of fire extinguishing techniques was also conducted, giving the students hands-on experience with firefighting equipment.

Ogun State Fire Service Hosts Divine Future Schools
The Ogun State Fire Service hosted students from Divine Future School, located at 1 Irekanmi Street, Apete, Obantoko, Abeokuta, for a fire safety awareness visit.
The students toured the fire station and learned about fire prevention, safety measures, and emergency response procedures. A demonstration of fire extinguishing techniques was also conducted, giving the students hands-on experience with firefighting equipment.
Addressing the students, the Head of Operation, Ogun State Fire Service emphasized the importance of fire safety in schools and communities. He encouraged the students to share their experience with their peers and families, promoting a culture of fire safety awareness.
The visit aimed to promote fire safety awareness among young people and equip them with life-saving skills. The Ogun State Fire Service urges citizens to prioritize fire safety and report emergencies promptly.
The students expressed gratitude for the opportunity, pledging to spread fire safety awareness in their school and community.

COLLAPSE OF COMMERCIAL HALL UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT IYANA OLOKE, ABEOKUTA.
The Ogun State Fire Service received an emergency call at about 13:38 hours on Thursday, 12th February 2026, reporting a collapse of a commercial hall building at Iyana Oloke, Onikolobo, opposite Odo-Eran, Abeokuta.
A team of firefighters led by FO II Adetayo were immediately deployed to the scene to carry out rescue operations. One person was trapped in the building, but was successfully rescued by the rescue team.
The cause of the collapse is currently under investigation. The rescued person was rushed to the hospital for proper medical attention.
The Director of Ogun State Fire Service, Engr. Fatai Abidemi Adefala, FNSE, FECRMI, was on ground to monitor the rescue operations. He urged residents and business owners in Ogun State to adhere strictly to safety measures and building codes to prevent such incidents.
Engr. Fatai Abidemi Adefala warned against constructing buildings on waterways or flood-prone areas.
The public is currently advised to stay clear of the building.
