Ogun State Housing Corporation is taking steps to enhance the skills and expertise of its workers in partnership with Kenvic Consulting, the corporation organized a 2-day retreat in Abeokuta for its top management team.
The retreat, themed "Understanding 21st Century Business Approach Service Delivery," aims to equip the leadership with the necessary skills for effective service delivery, in line with global trends.
According to General Manager Esv. Wale Ojo, the training is part of Governor Dapo Abiodun's commitment to capacity building and reducing the housing deficit in the state. The retreat will evaluate past activities, analyze the current situation, and provide solutions to improve service delivery.
This effort is consistent with the state government's focus on providing affordable housing.

2025: OGSHC REVEALS READINESS TO BUILD MORE HOUSING ESTATE
In pursuant of its determination to provide affordable, decent and quality housing units for its citizenry, Ogun State government through the Housing Corporation has revealed its readiness to build more housing estates across the three senatorial districts of the state in year 2025.
The General Manager, Ogun State Housing Corporation, TPL. Wale Ojo disclosed this during the 2025 budget defence at the State House of Assembly, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying the Corporation had secured the Governor’s approval to build more housing estates.
TPL. Ojo attributed the unprecedented achievements recorded by the Corporation in housing sector in the last five years to high level of support received from the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, adding that timely approval and financing of numerous housing projects by the Governor, greatly contributed to the organisation’s 2024 budget performance.
He reaffirmed the Corporation’s commitment, vision and objectives at creating a smart, gated and qualitative residential housing estates, in line with the government agenda on Housing Development and Management.
In his remarks, Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon. Musefiu Lamidi commended the leadership of the Corporation for the 2024 budget performance, completion and delivery of various housing estates across the state while expressing confidence that the Corporation would surpass its year 2025 budget performance and projects delivery.

DEVELOPMENT CONTROL; OGSHC ISSUES CONTRAVENTION NOTICE TO ILLEGAL OCCUPANTS
In its efforts to exercise its general powers of management over its Estates as provided in section 7 (1) of the Ogun State Housing Corporation Law 2006, the Ogun State Housing Corporation has issued Contravention Notice to all illegal structures and buildings in all its housing estates across the state.
The General Manager, Ogun State Housing Corporation, TPL Wale Ojo gave this warning during the Development Control and Enforcement exercise at Idiroko Estate of the Corporation in Ipokia Local Government, urging the illegal occupants to remove all illegal structures before the expiration of the notice, as erring occupants would face prosecution and pay the cost of removal of the illegal structures erected.
The exercise according to TPL Ojo was part of the process mandated by law before moving against encroachers, warning that the corporation would not hesitate to demolish all the illegal structures on its scheme after the expiration of the notice.
“In the same vain, the exercise was also to identify development without approval, identify developments not in compliance with approved plans, identify developments with inappropriate use of purpose and in deviant with the Corpration's layout. He said.
TPL Ojo appealed to the residents to always consult the appropriate government authority saddled with such responsibilities before buying land and landed property in the State.
Speaking on behalf of the residents of the Estate, the Chairman of Ifeloju CDA, Ikolaje, Idi-iroko, Chief Babatunde Taiwo appealed to the State government to show kindness on them, saying they are ready to comply with government directives on remedial process.
