YAN OGUN APPOINTS DR. ABOLAJI J. KELANI AS ENTREPRENEURSHIP ADVISER, SEALS PROFESSIONAL PARTNERSHIP
Ogun State, Nigeria — The Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Ogun State Chapter, has appointed Dr. Abolaji J. Kelani as Adviser on Youth Entrepreneurship, in a move widely regarded as a significant step toward strengthening youth development and enterprise advancement in the state.
The appointment followed a strategic courtesy visit by officials of the Assembly, where discussions centred on youth empowerment, vocational training, and sustainable economic opportunities for young people.
Dr. Kelani, a prominent figure in tourism, education, and enterprise development, formally accepted the role and expressed confidence in the vision and structure of the Youth Assembly. He commended the initiative as a purposeful platform for grooming future leaders and driving economic relevance among youths.
In a major outcome of the engagement, he also confirmed his readiness to establish a professional partnership with the Assembly. The Speaker and some Honourable Members of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) today paid a condolence visit to our esteemed Grand Matron following the passing of her beloved mother.
The delegation was led by the State Speaker and comprised members of the YAN National Working Committee, the Majority Leader, the Honourable representing Ogun Waterside, Sagamu Youth Stakeholders, and the LEO Multiple District 404 Nigeria Chief of Protocol.
During the visit, the team expressed heartfelt sympathies and prayers, assuring the family of the Assembly’s support during this difficult time.
Mr. Ayoola, son of Mrs. Apedere Clementine, warmly received the delegation and welcomed us on behalf of the family, expressing appreciation for the visit and show of solidarity.
The Youth Assembly of Nigeria stands firmly with our Grand Matron and her family in this moment of grief. We pray that God grants the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and that the soul of the departed rests in perfect peace.

REPORT ON THE ANNUAL INVESTITURE CEREMONY AND END-OF-YEAR PARTY OF ODAN ABUJA SULE SCOUT GROUP, AGBARA/IGBESA DISTRICT, AWORI PROVINCE, OGSSC HELD ON 29TH NOVEMBER 2025
The Odan Abuja Sule Scout Group, Agbara/Igbesa District, Awori Province, OGSSC, held its Annual Investiture Ceremony and End-of-Year Party on the 29th of November, 2025. The event witnessed the arrival of scout leaders, stakeholders, and distinguished guests from far and near.
The ceremony commenced with the arrival of high chiefs from the Olodan Abuja Sule Palace, followed by the arrival of Hon. Amosu Faruk, Honourable Member representing Ado-Odo/Ota Constituency, Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Ogun State.
The program formally began with marching parades conducted by the scout instructor, after which an opening prayer was said. This was followed by the introduction of guests and a welcome address delivered by the Scout Leader and Instructor. Representatives of the palace also presented a warm welcome message to all attendees.
The investiture segment featured the swearing-in of new scout members. Awards were later presented to winners of the “Best March Past” and “Best Parade Commander” categories.
A keynote speech was delivered by Hon. Amosu Faruk, who addressed crucial topics including security consciousness, discipline, and collaboration between the Scout Movement and the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (Ogun State Chapter). He emphasized the importance of discipline among youths and assured the scout body of YAN’s readiness to support them whenever called upon.
Hon. Faruk also spoke extensively on the dangers of drug abuse among youths and warned that anyone engaging in such acts risks facing serious consequences. He encouraged youths to stay security alert, inform their parents or guardians of their whereabouts, and avoid staying out late at night. He further urged scout leaders to continually sensitize their members on discipline and drug free living.
A special guest of honour, Chief Philips, also addressed the audience, reinforcing the importance of discipline within the society. The Commander of the Agbara/Igbesa Scout Group gave an additional speech aligned with the same message emphasizing discipline as a core value of scouting.
The event concluded with a closing prayer.

This bootcamp is designed to equip youths with practical agricultural skills, modern farming techniques, agribusiness insights, and diverse opportunities within the agricultural value chain.
