The Federal Government is taking significant strides towards a greener future with a new initiative focused on afforestation and wetland management. This project aims to combat deforestation and desertification while boosting the economy. It will create 3,000 jobs for youths and women, providing them with training in silviculture, beekeeping, and sustainable fishing. Additionally, 1,000 hectares of degraded land will be restored, enhancing Nigeria's forest cover and ecosystem resilience. This effort reflects a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and economic growth, ensuring a thriving future for both nature and communities.

The commercialization of fire wood and it uses as our domestic fuel, (charcoal) for cooking is the major reason for the fast depleting forest tree 🌲 resources.
This activity has been threatening our forest cover in many part of the country especially in Northern Nigeria.
We must take the necessary steps and actions to stop deforestation to avert the damning consequences of desertification, erosion, flooding and other environmental challenges.
Stop indiscriminate falling of tress now.
