Special Envoy, Ms. Tammy Ben-Haim, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Israel in Nigeria, met with Dr. Philips Osaimoje, Regional Director for Anglophone West Africa at the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), a US-based nonprofit organisation with a strong media presence in Nigeria through The 700 Club Nigeria and initiatives such as Women in Our Heart & Turning Point International.

The meeting explored opportunities for collaboration in women's empowerment, media engagement, community development and public awareness initiatives, drawing on CBN's extensive reach and influence in Nigeria.

Discussions also focused on using media and shared initiatives to strengthen people-to-people connections, promote positive social impact and identify new areas of cooperation between Israel and Nigeria.

On October 13, 2025, the final 20 living hostages returned from Gaza following two years in Palestinian Hamas' captivity. Their families could finally hold them again after 738 davs, and an entire nation shared their relief, even as we hold deep grief for those who did not return home alive.

One year later, we hold the survivors and their families close as they continue to heal and carry the memory of those we lost with us always.

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Israel in Nigeria, Ms. Racheli Stavissky, met with the Governor of Enugu State, H.E. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, during her official visit to Enugu.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss shared priorities and explore new areas of collaboration between Israel and Enugu State.

Advancing Maternal Healthcare in Nigeria 🇮🇱 🤝 🇳🇬

Our Chargé d’Affaires, Ms. Racheli Stavissky, paid a visit to the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu, to see firsthand a specialised medical training programme conducted by a delegation of Israeli doctors, led by Prof. Offer Erez.

The five-day programme brought together Nigerian doctors, midwives, and medical educators for hands-on training in postpartum haemorrhage management, emergency obstetric care, and life-saving clinical procedures.

Through this initiative, Israel reaffirms its commitment to sharing Israeli medical expertise, strengthening healthcare cooperation, and improving maternal health outcomes in Nigeria.
