COMMANDANT MORIKI RECEIVES THE NEWLY BUILT DUTSEN AMARE OUTPOST FOR KATSINA NSCDC BY KATSINA LGA CHAIRMAN
The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Katsina Command, *Commandant of Corps Abbas Dan-ile Moriki, Acti, Anim* received the newly built and well equipped Outpost office today 5th April, 2026 at Dutsen Amare, Wakilin Gabas II, Katsina Local Government Area of Katsina State.
In his keynote address at the commissioning ceremony, the State Commandant fully represented by the Head of Training and Manpower DCC Usman Abubakar Shagari lauded the Honourable Chairman for investing in the Security of lives and property of his people.He also noted that Dutsen Amare Community in Gabas II Ward witnessed a milestone in the improvement of safety and security in the area.Commandant Moriki reiterated the commitments and dedication of NSCDC to promote safety and security for the good citizens of Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.
The CC thanked the *State Governor Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD, CON* for his supports and contributions to the NSCDC in the State.
Moriki also noted the *Commandant General Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR* leadership commitment to addressing the insecurity bedivelling the country.He called on the good citizens of Katsina State to be law abiding and obey rules and regulations.
In his address, the Hon. Chairman Katsina Local Government Area, Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude thanked Allah the Almighty for witnessing such historic occasion.He noted the administration unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property of the people in the LGA.He also reiterated that the establishment of the outpost will enhance rapid response and improve on the overall safety of the community.
The Chairman further commended NSCDC for incurruptibility and pledged to partner and support the Corps in promoting peace and security

In their separate good will messages, the member representing Katsina Central Federal Constituency and Member representing Katsina Local Government at the State Assembly commended the Honourable Chairman for his leadership vision to promote safety and security in the LGA among other numerous achievements.
The Honourable Chairman led the commissioning of the new Outpost office, supported by the Member House of representatives, representing Katsina Central Federal Constituency, Honourable Sani Aliyu Danlami, State Member of Assembly, Honourable Aliyu Abubakar Albaba, State Commandant, represented by Head of Training and Manpower, DCC Usman Abubakar Shagari, Vice Chairman, Hon. Usman Yusuf Saulawa, Local Government Secretary Hon. Abdulkarim Al'ameen Modibbo, Councillors from various Wards and other very distinguished guests present at the event.The occasion also witnessed symbolic presentation of the office keys by the Hon. Member House of representatives on behalf of the Hon. Chairman to the Katsina State Commandant.
This marks the commencement of full administrative and operational activities of the new Outpost.Relevant personnel were also deployed to provide adequate security in the Outpost.CC Moriki charged all the personnel to reciprocate this unprecedented gesture, bringing down the rate of crime within the communities.He further urged for more commitments, dedication and hardwork.

EASTER : COMMANDANT MORIKI DEPLOYS 1256 OPERATIVES, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENTS TO PROTECTION OF CRITICAL NATIONAL ASSETS AND INFRASTRUCTURES
The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,(NSCDC) Katsina State Command, *Commandant of Corps Abbas Dan-ile Moriki, Acti, Anim* deployed 1256 personnel for the maintenance of peace and protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures across the State.
The Corps helmsman in the State made this known while extending Easter message to all Christian faithful in the State today Thursday 2nd April, 2026.In his briefing, Commandant Moriki emphasized the commitments of the Commandant General *Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR* to safety, Security and protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures in the country.
While tasking operatives for civility and professionalism, the Commandant further emphasized for strategic deployment of personnel to places of worship, recreational centres, motor parks, markets and other sensitive places across the State.
"The deployment of operatives must cover places of worship, recreational centres, motor parks, markets and other relevant places in the State" the Commandant reiterated.
The State Commandant tasked the relevant Heads of Departments and Units,Area Commanders, Divisional Officers,Unit Commanders, OC Outposts and Special Forces to ensure well coordination and proper patrolling to provide watertight Security in the State.He also urged the monitoring of Deployments for both covert and overt personnel in all the 34 LGAs of the state and in the relevant facilities belonging to LGAs, State and Federal Government.
The State NSCDC Boss further charged personnel for commitments and dedication to duty.
"Personnel deployed must be very professional and synergize with other security agencies to ensure hitch free Easter celebration" the Comdnt. stated

KATSINA NSCDC COLLABORATES WITH NIGERIA ARMY, NCoS, EFCC AND INSTITUTE FOR PEACE AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION IN KATSINA
The Katsina Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the 17 Brigade Nigeria Army Katsina have strengthened partnership to combat security chellenges in the State.This was emphasized during a courtesy visit by the Commander 17 Brigade Nigeria Army Katsina, Brigadier General MI Ibrahim to the State Commandant NSCDC Katsina Command, Commandant of Corps AD Moriki, Acti, Anim today Friday 6th March, 2026 at the Command Headquarters Katsina, Katsina State.
In his remarks, the Brigade Commander noted on the existing cordial working relationship between the NSCDC and the Nigeria Army.He reiterated that the Brigade will strengthen the existing synergy and collaboration to ensure Safety and Security in the State.

KATSINA NSCDC BURSTS ARMS FABRICATING FACTORY IN KORE, BATAGARAWA LGA ARRESTS FOUR (4) SUSPECTS

We extend a very warm welcome to the Katsina Command of NSCDC.
Today we are delighted to share some of the recent achievements made by the Command under the able leadership of the amiable and hard working State Commandant, Commandant of Corps Abbas Dan-ile Moriki, Acti, Anim.The Commandant is always committed to promoting safety, security and protecting Critical National Assets and Infrastructure in the State and Nigeria as a whole.
On Thursday 26th February, 2026 at about 1000 hours acting on credible intelligence, the Special Rapid Response Squard of the Command successfully uncovered and dismantled a suspected illegal arms fabricating factory in Kore Village situated along Batsari Road, Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State.Upon receiving such credible information, the State Commandant directed the Squard for immediate response while ensuring professionalism.The team acted immediately, uncovered and dismantled the factory, seized weapons , fabricating equipment and apprehended four (4) suspects.
The suspects Haruna Lawal 'M' 28 years, Badamasi Kabiru 'M' 50 years, Hamza Lawal 'M' 30 years and Sagir Abba 'M' 25 years were apprehended inside the factory perpetuating the crime.
The following exhibits were recovered from the suspects
1) Eight (8) locally made skeletal rifle
2) Five locally made (5) pistol grips
3) Four (4) locally made magazines
4) One (1) butt of local rifle
5) Five (5) local butts of local rifle
6) Twenty (20) pieces of locally made magazine parts
7) Twenty one (21) pieces of metal
8) One (1) carbide and one (1) hurk saw
9) Three (3) hammers
10) One (1) spanner
11) One (1) player
12 ) One (1) hand saw
13) One (1) grinder
14) Two (2) gas cylinders
15) One (1) welding machine
16) Twenty four (24) notes
17) Two (2) motorcycles (Jincheng and boxer)
The suspects are currently being investigated to uncover other syndicate members, suspected buyers and due diligence will be followed in thier prosecution.The Commandant assures for adequate Security as the Command will not relent in it's commitments to combat illicit arms proliferation, uncover all the activities of vandals, economic saboteurs and other criminals in the State.

COMMANDANT MORIKI HONOURS PROMOTED COMMANDANTS, DECORATES PROMOTED SENIOR STAFF OF KATSINA NSCDC
The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Katsina State Command,
*Commandant of Corps AD Moriki, Acti, Anim* honoured the Promoted Commandants of Corps for their selfless service in the Command and decorated the Senior Staff promoted in the 2025 promotion exercise by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) today Friday 23rd January, 2026 at the Command Headquarters Katsina, Katsina State.
In a very joyful occasion that attracted distinguished personalities, the two Heads of Departments that were recently promoted to the esteem ranks of Commandants of Corps were honoured today with presentation of gifts to appreciate their selfless service in the State Command.Commandant Nuhu Dalha who served as Head of Operations and later Administration and Personnel was presented with an award by the Sector Commander of FRSC RS 1.3 Katsina Sector Command, Corps Commander Maxwell Kantingo Lede while Commandant of Corps Bala Zaka Shekari Who served as Head of PGC and later Head of Intelligence and Investigation Department was presented with the award by Sarkin aikin Katsina and Talban Damagaran Alh Idris Kwado.
Earlier in his welcome address the Command 2I/C, DCC Musa Haruna thanked all the invited guests for honouring the invitation and wished for a safer journey back to their various destinations.
In his opening remarks, the Commandant Congratulated the newly promoted Officers and charged them for more commitment, hard work and dedication to duty
"Promotion comes with more responsibility, personnel were promoted for commitment, dedication and selflessness in the service and more is expected from them" the CC reiterated
In their separate remarks, the Commissioner of Police CP Bello Shehu represented by DCP Operations Bello Tukur Zaura and the Sector Commander FRSC Katsina CC Maxwell Kantingo Lede congratulated the newly promoted officers and tasked them for more commitment and dedication to duty.
115 Personnel promoted in the Command across various ranks from Assistant Superintendent of Corps II (ASC II) to Deputy Commandant of Corps (DCC) .Those promoted include DCC Raliya Yusuf Suleiman from ACC to DCC, CSC Umar Balangoggo from SC to CSC, SC Jamilu Abdullahi Baraya from DSC to SC, DSC Huraira Abdullahi from ASC to DSC, ASC Babangida Umar from ASCII to ASCI and ASC Idris Usman Masari from IC to ASCII among others.

STATE COMMANDANT END OF YEAR 2025 PRESS BRIEFING
Dear members of the press,
We extend to you our warm welcome to the Katsina State Command of the NSCDC.
1) Today, we are delighted to share with the public the achievements made by the Command under my stewardship through out the year 2025.The Command remains dedicated to protecting Critical National Assets and Infrastructure and ensuring a peaceful atmosphere for the citizens of Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.
2) Let me start by thanking the Almighty Allah for the life, health, wisdom and much more for witnessing this day
3) I want to express much appreciation to the Commandant General Professor *Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni OFR* for all his guidance and leadership that made the 2025 achievements attainable
4) My gratitude also is to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Katsina State *Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON* for his support and contributions to the Corps in the State.
5) The continuous synergy, cooperation and collaboration from other security agencies are also commendable and well appreciated
6) At this point, I am happy to praise the Corps personnel in the State for their resilience, loyalty, cooperation and dedication to duty through out the period under review.
7) The good citizens of Karsina State are also worthy to be appreciated for all the cooperation, support and collaboration
8) It is worthy to State at this juncture, the State within the year under review has faced a number of Security chellenges ranging from banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery, vandalization, thuggery, farmers -herders clashes, burglary and other criminal activities.
9) The command under my stewardship employed varied strategies including night city patrol, standby disaster and emergency response team, intensive surveillance, public awareness, gathering credible intelligence, engagement and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, routine monitoring and supervision of PGCs, and robust synergy with other security agencies among others.
10) Remarkable achievements were recorded within the year under review and the summary is presented as follows:
I) 2,088 suspects were arrested from 4,230 cases attended across the State
II) 93 suspects were arrested for vandalization
III) 942 suspects were arrested for theft
IV) 272 suspects were arrested with illicit drugs and other substances
V) 26 suspects were arrested for assault
VI) A total of 4,767 disputes were resolved through ADR
VII) Another 1,158 disputes are under going ADR process.
VIII) A total of 43 different cases are still undergoing prosection in different courts of law
IX)577 judgements were secured across the Command of Katsina NSCDC
X) 755 suspects were arrested for sundry crimes including breach of trust and thuggery.
XI) The sum of N56, 630, 800 was also recovered
11) A number of exhibits were also recovered including: vandalized property, bales of Insecticide Treated Mosquitor Nets, cars, motorcycles, bags of cannabis, assorted number of illicit drugs and related substances.
I want to urge the general public for more vigilance and reporting any suspicious movement of persons or items to NSCDC.I would like to express my gratitude to all the media outlets in the State for the constant support, timely and accurate information dissemination to the public.

COMMANDANT MORIKI RECEIVES ROYAL BLESSINGS FROM THE EMIR OF KATSINA
The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Katsina State Command, Commandant of Corps *AD Moriki, Acti, Anim* received royal blessings from His Royal Highness the Emir of Katsina *Alh (Dr.) Abdulmumini Kabir Usman CFR LLD* today Monday 29th December, 2025 at his Palace Kofar Soro Katsina, Katsina State.
The Commandant who was on a courtesy call to the Emir's Palace said he was there to officially introduce himself as the substantive Commandant of NSCDC in the State.He stated that the visit was meant to pay homage, seek for guidance, receive royal blessings and support from His Highness in order to succeed in promoting safety and security in the State.
Commandant Moriki conveyed the warm greetings of the Commandant General *Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR* to His Highness and emphasized on CG's vision to tackle the insecurity in the country.
Moriki further noted that the visit was also to commiserate on the recent fire outbreak that affected a part of the palace.He also expressed condolences over the death of two prominent members of the Emirate including Bebejin Katsina District Head of Kusada and Gabasawan Katsina District Head of Dutsi. The Commandant prayed may Almighty Allah grant them Jannatul Firdaus.
The State Commandant emphasized the roles of traditional institution to peace, security and prosperity.He thanked the Emir for the warm reception accorded to him and his team during the visit and all the support and cooperation by the Emirate to the Corps.
Responding, His Royal Highness the Emir of Katsina welcome the new State Commandant to Katsina and expressed happiness for the visit.
The Emir noted the relevance of safety and security in the State and the country as a whole particularly with the current security situation of North western region of the country.
The Royal Father commended the activities of NSCDC in the State and called on the Commandant to sustain on the good achievements of the Corps in the State
In conclusion, the Emir emphasized on the relevance of intelligence gathering among the security agencies. He stated that the Emirate is together with all the Security agencies including the non formal security actors.

KATSINA NSCDC ARRESTS 8 SUSPECTS FOR KORAMAR NAYALLI OUTPOST ATTACK
The Katsina Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) apprehended 8 suspects for Koramar Nayalli Outpost attack.On Sunday 28th December, 2025 at 0930hrs suspected group of miscreants in expressing their displeasure over Saturday's Police raid that resulted to the death of one Uzairu (alias Dan'kuda), a suspected notorious thug and miscreant attacked the Koramar Nayalli Outpost in Sabuwar Unguwar within Katsina Metropolis of Katsina State.The suspected miscreants in large number stormed the premises of the Outpost and set ablaze 3 number motorcycles and other relevant property belonging to the Outpost.
The miscreants while so aggressive and carrying dangerous weapons also visited the nearby Outposts of NSCDC and NPF at Filin Kanada area with the same nefarious motive.The special response squards from NSCDC and NPF controled the situation through adequate Security measures and normalcy has since been restored
The State Commandant of NSCDC Katsina Command CC AD Moriki, Acti, Anim, has ordered for thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incidence.He further conducted an on the spot assessment of the Outpost and contituted 7 man committee to ensure proper investigation.Also the Command successfully apprehended 8 suspects and due deligence will be followed in their investigation and prosecution.
The Commandant also warned all the miscreants, vandals, economic saboteurs and other criminal to either desist from the act or face the full wrath of the law.The Commandant thanks the good citizens of the State for their continuous cooperation and collaboration. YULETIDE SEASON: NSCDC DEPLOYS 1,256 PERSONNEL, ASSURES FOR ADEQUATE SECURITY AND PROTECTION OF CRITICAL NATIONAL ASSETS AND INFRASTRUCTURE IN KATSINA
In a strategic arrangement to ensure adequate Security, the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,(NSCDC) Katsina State Command, *Commandant of Corps AD Moriki, Acti, Anim* approved the deployment of 1256 personnel for maintenance of peace and protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure before, during, after the yuletide period and new year celebration.
The State Commandant made this known while issuing the Operational Order earlier today Monday 22nd December, 2025 at the Command Headquarters Katsina, Katsina State.In a brief meeting with the Senior Management team, the State Commandant reiterated that reviewed operational strategies including intensive surveillance, intelligence gathering, community engagement and collaboration are necessary to ensuring peace and Security.
Commandant Moriki charged all the relevant Heads of Departments and Units,Area Commanders, Divisional Officers,Unit Commanders, and Special Forces to ensure well coordination and proper patrolling to provide watertight Security in the State.He called on all personnel deployed to be displine, dedicated, professional and synergize with other security agencies to ensure hitch free celebration

The Commander emphasized on the existing cordial working relationship between the Nigeria Air Force and NSCDC in the State.He further noted that NSCDC is a critical partner in promoting Security and protecting Critical National Assets and Infrastructure.

HANDING OVER OF RECOVERED ITNs TO THE STATE MINISTRY OF HEALTH
The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Katsina State Command, Commandant of Corps *AD Moriki, Acti, Anim* handed over a total of 35 bails of Insecticide Treated Mosquitor Nets(ITNs) to the Commissioner Ministry of Health, Honourable Musa Adamu Funtua today Friday 28th November 2025 at the Command Headquarters Katsina, Katsina State.
This remarkable achievement was attained after the surveillance team of NSCDC Katsina Command foiled the diversion of the nets and thorough investigation was concluded about the incidence.Handing over the 35 bags each containing 50 pieces of Insecticide Treated Mosquitor Nets (ITNs) the State Commandant represented by command 2i/c DC Musa Haruna thanked the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Health for all the cooperation and understanding during the investigation.

KATSINA NSCDC RENEWS PARTNERSHIP WITH PUBLIC COMPLAIN AND ANTI CORRUPTION COMMISSION ( PCACC)
As part of his renewed strategies to promote engagement and collaboration with relevant stakeholders in the State, the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Katsina Command, Commandant of Corps AD Moriki, Acti, Anim visited the Executive Chairman Katsina State Public Complain and Anticorruption Commission (PCACC) Hon. Justice Lawal Garba Abdulkadir (Rtd.) today Wednesday 26th November, 2025 at the Commission's headquarters Katsina, Katsina State
In his remarks, the State Commandant reiterated that the visit became necessary to strengthen the existing cordial working relationship with the commission.He commended the Commission's drive to ride the State of all frauds and corruption relevant offences
Commandant Moriki expressed much appreciation for the warm reception accorded to him and his team during the visit.
In his response, the Chairman emphasized on the relevance of collaboration in promoting peace and safeguarding lives and property.
Represented by the Secretary of the Commission, the Chairman thanked the State Commandant for the support and cooperation especially in the deployment for relevant personnel to the Commission.
